Golf is fun for me at my age and I enjoy volunteering for local Pro/Am charity events. Get to see all levels of play and enjoy participating in the raising of funds for local charities in our area. Just seeing someone tee that little round ball up can get my juices flowing. Have pretty much given up playing in tournaments. My body just cannot do three day events competitively anymore. I use to play around half a dozen tournaments a year. Just play in my senior men's and interclub leagues now.

I just compete against myself every weekend lol.

As an individual golfer, I like more friendly competition. I belong to an associate club and many of us play golf socially and once a month we have a friendly competitive tournament.

For the more competitive tournaments, I'll play in team formats.

I play in local one day tournaments put on by the CGA (Carolinas Golf Association). I play in them more to play different courses and meet other golfers but did win the net in my flight at my last two tournaments. So it does pay to suck sometimes LOL. Hoping that I can get my index down some.

The men’s club at my local course have monthly tournaments. Also skins games twice a week so between all of that I can feel some pressure

I only have time to play with my regular group on Sunday, but the competitive juices are always flowing. We usually have two foursomes and play a modified Stableford. Updates are received about every six holes so both groups know where they stand and what they need to do.
One tradition is to carry plastic forks. If the group in front has a big lead, the following group will find a fork on the next tee.
I do hope to start playing in some local events this year if I can swing it with my schedule.
