I was lucky enough to have had a successful shoulder surgery in April.
In August, I entered an open tournament within a military base and placed second being one stroke behind. Though it was only an A flight not a scratch, I was the happiest in the world.
By October, half my scores im posting broke 80. (i play 3 times a week.)
November with the help of TSr2+, and current, I have shot under par at least 3 times in front or back nine by two strokes, but only to be in the high 70s at the end of the day. Not my club’s fault, I know it’s between my ears.

Some of those times were played with my son. He’s new in golf.
To receive messages from him asking about golf is a golden to me. But it’s when he realizes and compares the similarities between a golf game and life are … well, I just melt. I do hope that I can keep him interested in the game, but no, never for all the answers.. haha

Anyway, I’m afraid I don’t have many on my list nor have I taken a bucket list golf trip (but I hope this isn’t a buzzkill for the thread), but then I am looking forward to what 2023 will bring and maybe even play new courses I could get on.

As 2022 comes to a close, it was filled with some good times. I don't know if it's a full top 10 but here are my highlights for 2022 in no particular order.

1. I lowered my handicap a full stroke going from 0.3 to a +0.7.

2. I shot my career low round of 67 on Father's Day, where my son (15) shot his career low of 80 and my dad (79) bested his age to shoot 78.

3. I played in my first local Team Titleist event and got to meet some really great guys. Allan, Dale, can't wait for 2023 in SD and Phoenix.

4. I played in my first Team Titleist Invitational at Streamsong, met more great people, played with Brad Faxon and watched Emily Brooks of Team Titleist, put on an absolute clinic. So impressive. All the while dodging Hurricane Ian. Can't wait to do it again.

5. Was among the first to get fit and own the TSR driver. Game changer!!

6. Got a sneak peek at the 2023 ProV1 line and a chance to test out.

7. Played in a US Open local qualifying event. (didn't fare so well but loved being out there).

8. Introduced my wife to the game, which she enjoys and is looking forward to playing more in 2023 and going on a few trips.

Goals for 2023

1. Play in more Team Titleist local events, attend the Team Titleist Invitational and if there is an International Team Titleist Event, secure a spot there.

2. Do a Vokey Wedge fitting experience with none other than the man himself.

3. I get to play in Dublin (Royal Dublin) and St. Andrews (Fairmont courses) in March.

4. Play in another US Open local qualifier.

5. Lower my handicap to +1.2 (half a stoke lower).

6. Meet more Team Titleist community members who share the same joy and passion for this crazy game.

7. Watch my wife improve her game where she can come play in a TTI.

That's a great list. If I could provide one comment, for your #7 2023 goals, your wife is more than welcome to come out to a TTI event. As someone who attended the recent TTI event, it's more about camaraderie and fun than pure competition. I know for my first TTI event I attended, there was some intimidation factor as I felt I didn't have the skill set to play with TT. After having such a great experience and meeting so many nice Titleist enthusiasts, I realized the TTI is for anyone who can make it and wants to have fun. For the record, for that first TTI, I ended up coming in 1st in the team net division; luckily for me, my partner carried me

Sounds like a great year! I feel very fortunate to have played some courses on the top 100 list! The best of which was Bandon! I also attended the TT events at Casa de Campo and Streamsong! Here’s to another year of ticking off some more amazing courses and milestones! Happy New Years!

4. Was at the Final Round of the Chevron Championship and saw Jennifer Kupcho make the last jump into Poppy's Pond. =(
5. Played Torrey Pines with 8 friends/family
6. Played at the oldest Private CC in Oahu, HI (Oahu Country Club) shot 89.
7. Full new set of 14. Now, I'm set for years to come.

9. Play Golf 75+ rounds this year
10. Slow, but steady roller coaster ride of progress.

Top ten from 2022, hard to say. At the point in my life, live a pretty boring life to some.

-1A. Had planned to trips early this year to Europe and both were cancelled. One was a Rhine River cruise and the Other a Baltic Cruise with a visit to St Petersburg, Russia. One because of COVID restrictions and the other because of one crazy man.

-1B. My wife and I have a elderly dog that will be 17 on the ides of March 2023. She is almost blind and deaf. Does not do well around others and in unfamiliar places. Sooooooo, at this point in her life we are not taking vacations together. We want to make sure that her remaining years are as pleasant as possible. One of us will be with her. No strangers. She is a miniature dachshund and normal life span is 12-15 years and per her last physical she is in good health. We have turned down many compensated cruises all over the world this year and next because we just cannot leave her with strangers. Elder care comes first. She is our child. =)

+1C. I went to Streamsong Resort with all my friends and neighbors for a wonderful three day event. Unfortunately Hurricane Ian cut my stay to one day of golf. I was driving and being I live in Charleston, SC, I opted to leave on Tuesday morning to beat the storm to SC and prepare for it's arrival. Good plan. Ying and yang. But had a good time while I was there as we always do.

+2. Played on clubs interclub team this year. Started out badly then improved and finished the year with a couple of top twenty finishes. Played thru a lot of pain last part of year.

+3. Got to see Van Gogh traveling exhibit in Charleston. Wife and I do love art as much as I love golf.

+4. Attend some awesome Broadway plays this year in Charleston. Wife and I are season passholders for Best of Broadway and have been for over 15 years. Love musicals.

+5. Celebrated 76th birthday. Feel that is major accomplishment with all my medical issues.

+6. Celebrated 45th wedding anniversary. Need I say more. Give her a big round of applause.

+7. Celebrated my 6th years working part time with the District Foot Joy rep as his Tournament Support Representative (Tech Rep). I guess you can call it work. Am still having fun and we have good chemistry.

+8. With all that is going on with my medical issues my handicap has dropped one point. Woohoo.

+9. Bought new SM9 wedges. Awesome. It was time.

+10. Able to work two charity events this year. Hootie at Bulls Bay (Rodeo) and Mark (Mark Bryant of Hootie and the Blowfish) and Denny's (Denny Hamlin - NASCAR) Jam (Pro/Am Event at Daniel Island).

Played Pasatiempo in Santa Cruz. So beautiful and tough. This year I am taking lessons to get more consistent. After that want to get a fitting at the titleist performance center and if I have any money left over I wanna play pebble beach!

Several, but by far the bucket list trip to Pebble, etc. with our regular Sunday group. Great weather, great friends, and every now and then some great golf.
