If you are a low handicapper you probably would be happier with the T200 but most double digit handicappers are very happy with with the T300s because of their forgiveness. As to a shaft that is something that you need to see a fitter about. Getting the right combination makes them even easier to hit and control. T300 is a game improvement iron, engineered to help golfers get the ball in the air, and improve speed while offering forgiveness. T200 is a players improvement iron. Has the compact shape, and minimal offset of a players iron but offers some forgiveness and distance for mid to lower handicap players. It also has more workability than the T300.

Best option is to get fit, but if you can’t, the T300 will probably work best with your slower swing

I’m currently playing T200 irons the now, I used to be ap2, then T100 but this year the Titleist fitter was getting better results for my swing speed, attack angle, launch angle etc with these.
Best to go get fitted and try them all out, these guys do an amazing job and you’ll be over the moon whatever irons they fit you for buddy. I can’t recommend this enough! ️‍♂️

I have played both irons, and it comes down to performance. Test both clubs and review the numbers with your fitting professional. I like the T200 compact design and less offset at the address, and I enjoy the improved shot dispersion from the T300. My index improved by 1.5 and is currently at 5.5.

I know its been said over and over but get fitted. Handicap and swing speed alone don't guarantee a fit for a particular head or shaft. A lot of retailers will put the fitting fee towards your clubs so essentially a free fitting.

A Titleist story. I Started my Titleist career with a used Titleist club when I was seven that my uncle gave to me along with Titleist balls. That was 60 years ago. I played heavily into the the early 90s and then gave up golf, family came first. There wasn't a lot of money around then so that was that. Time went by and I wanted to play but the operating table and injuries from working almost convinced me not to come back. Fast forward to January 2022 and a local golf pro "harped on me" that nothing is impossible. So I went on on quest that included the gym, lessons, and a lot of personal encouragement from guys that golfed. The hardest part is that I golf backwards, I am a lefty and finding equipment was difficult in Covid. After playing with 4 sets of eighties clubs a friend gave me his AP1 714s. They were worn, Like me so I reshafted, regripped them and played them for the rest of the season. They served me well, but I knew they weren't the answer, so I turned to Team Titleist and Team Titleist community for help. I went for a fittiing and tried all the forgiving clubs from all the brands. But I was not convinced, so I got fitted three more times. Each Time the result returned to T-300s. The fitter recommended many shafts and we arrived at the Projected X LZ shafts. Who knew that a 67 year old guy could hit a 7 Iron 160 yard with replaced hips, knees, a new shoulder and a rebuilt one, and numerous other surgeries. I want to thank Team Titleist, the Facebook Team Titleist Team and everyone that resurrected me from that dead. Having a slower swing speed and 3/4 swing myself, I can shed a little light on the T300. I have them paired with AV blue graphite shafts and they just swing so effortless with a nice high flight and plenty of distance. They don't sound like a buttery forged blade but when you hit it flush (extremely rare for this guy..) you still know it. They are definitely a larger iron than the T200 , but not giant shovels like many offerings from the competition. The way Titleist chamfered the top line, makes it look more like a players iron at address. They've helped my game a ton but don't take my word for it. Go try them out with a Titleist fitter.

When everyone says get fitted do it!!! Just went through the process yesterday and it was great. Currently playing T300 with graphite shafts. My ball flight was ballooning and losing distance. Ed my fitter had me swinging T300 and T200 with different shafts. Double digit handicap and no longer a fast swing in my game. End result was the T200 with Project X steel shaft 1/2 inch shorter had me consistently finding the middle of the club face and picking up 8 mph ball speed. Now to take that to the course.

Spend the time and get fit. Never would a better head with a shorter shaft would provide better results. I will be visiting Ed again for my driver and woods.

Great stories on the irons! This year (off season really, I live in SE Idaho) I switched from the 714 AP2s to a "new to me" used set of T-200s (2019). I absolutely loved my AP2s, so pure, but lately I've been stagnant and my index was hovering between 8-10... I wasn't getting better and at times I was getting worse. I started to hit balls off the hosel, aka nasty hosel rockets! My teaching pro told me to try a different iron, something a little more forgiving. I tried the T200s and haven't looked back!

I spent two weeks in AZ for Christmas break and played 6 times, my scores were as follows... 83, 80, 81, 77, 75, 76. I completely clicked with these T200s and they are SO pure! Can't say enough about making the switch, haven't hit a single hosel rocket, in fact, most of my shots are toe biased now. Just loving the clubs. If you haven't played the T200, give them a shot, I think the T300 would be too far for me, just a little too big of a club head.
