Let's see what our friends at Titleist are planning for this year. Only missed one TTI event, last year, so I'm looking forward to this year's event.

We usually get a hint around March or April based on how quickly they seal the deal. Since dates vary every year, the sooner we know the exact week, the sooner we can block off the time to make sure work, friends, and family do not make any other plans that will conflict with this fun event. For me, the "when" is more important than the "where". The "where" will always be great.

I've already let Friends and Family know the pecking order..............TT Invitation is higher on the list. I'd let work know that also but we all know how that would work out so I'm keeping that comment to myself.

These are an annual event. Sites rotate annually. But have been at top destinations, like Whistling Straits, Pinehurst, Bandon Dunes, and Kiawa Island. Course limits keep the size to about 80 players. Registration fills quickly and runs around 2 grand including an on-site stay up front to hold a registration.

Locally managed TT events appear around the country. A volunteer in an area can coordinate an event with Titleist personnel - usually through the concierge group but a regional sales person can assist.

I'm military and live in Oregon and wish some of these events would be hosted in my state. I would more than welcome the opportunity to attend one of these

We went to Bandon Dunes a few years ago, wonderful place.

Though most of the prior TTI's have been on the east coast, as was mentioned, Bandon was a destination in 2020. I too live on the west coast; luckily, I'm not too far from an airport that could get me to different parts of the country without much hassle.

A place like Sand Valley would be great. Now that they're building 2 more courses at that resort, it will definitely be a future site for a TTI.

Abdon, another resort where all their courses are walking only. I only hope that the planners take into consideration all of the members and go where we can take carts. I see a lot of posts on here about those who cannot walk and play due to various ailments. I really wanted to go to Bandon Dunes and had a letter from my Dr and was told an absolute NO about riding a cart.

I hope I can make it one of these years. Haven't really made it a priority but plan to this year or next. They seem to sell out fast though.
  19. Went on my first invitational last year at streamsong. Looking forward to this years trip and no hurricanes!!

Luckily, Ian held off long enough that for those who chose to stick around, we still enjoyed the final dinner and awards presentation; for me, that's one of my favorite parts of the Team Titleist Invitational.

I do recall seeing beverages (hard and soft) being offered. I had to refrain from the hard stuff as I had a long drive to Miami after the dinner festivities.

I do have a frozen hurricane story about Tampa but I will save it for a time when I am not officially documented in writing.

On the east coast Hurricane season runs June thru November and just never know. Life goes on and would not live anywhere else, as long as my wife is living. We survived Hugo and live ten minutes from the ocean.

Good times for all involved, I'm swapping out knee bones for some new hi performance stuff. Let's do Ireland next year! Have a dram and a pint or two for me. Enjoy the Scotland.
