On April 20, I had a total knee replacement on my right knee. My surgeon does the muscle sparing procedure which results in less pain and a faster recovery. I had to wait 11 months for the surgery, being that he's so booked up for this type of procedure, but I think it was worth the wait. 3 days out and I can bend my knee to about 60 degrees already. He predicts that I'll be back on the golf course in 3 to 6 weeks. To anyone contemplating knee or hip replacement surgery, I would suggest seeking out a Doctor that uses the muscle sparing procedure.

  3. Its not a knee replacement, but i snapped both my ACL and MCL in my right knee, and tore my meniscus so had to have 60% of that removed. I had surgery on 16/04/22 and was chipping and putting within 12 weeks. Half swings on the range within 4 months, played my first 9 holes (in a buggy) 5 months after and full 18 walking 8 months after. Now just been and year and fully back into it!

I had a total knee replacement in January 2022. I'm not sure of the exact procedure but I do know mine was robot-assisted replacement using the ROSA robot/computer. Best thing I've ever done as my knee was destroyed from years of basketball and soccer. After PT, I was lightly swinging a club by mid-March and back on the golf course taking full swings by May. It changes everything when you can walk and play without pain...

Best of luck on your recovery and hope that you're back on the course soon!
