  1. Hey everyone! New to Team Titleist here and I’ve been playing golf for around 10 years now and have yet to find a good way to put a decent draw on my shot! I end up slicing a little when attempting so if anyone has any tips or tricks I’d gladly appreciate it! Always learning to advance my game!

I think your best bet is to take a lesson from a trained professional. Asking the forum for advice when it comes to swing mechanics could lead you down a rabbit hole. You will find everyone will tell you something different that may work for their swing but not yours.

I would suggest taking a lesson or two. As a plus handicap, I still have an instructor and take lessons, so there is a benefit from it.

Welcome to the group! Titleist provides access to many instructional videos:

The production of these videos is excellent, and they feature the top teachers in golf; I recommend you check them out and I'm sure you'll find some great suggestions about hitting a draw.

Welcome JMarshall and hope you enjoy the forum. Your question is a difficult one because there are a lot of things you may be doing in your swing that have impact to the direction of the ball and without seeing it, we might give bad advice. Maybe go to the "Instruction" tab at the top of the page and view some of those clips. There is one in particular under "Iron Game" specifically on hitting a draw. The obvious answer is for you to find a professional instructor who can see your swing and offer help. Anyway, welcome to the forum. Don't forget to complete your profile, picture, and add your location.
  5. Hi and grip it right! I mean pay attention to your grip on the knife. Hold it firmly but not too tightly, and position your fingers away from the blade. Keep your fingers curled under to protect them from accidental cuts. These are my hacks ;)

I like your style , Brian Adams got it right. It cuts like a knife.

Hello JMarshall and welcome. As I'm reading my fellow TT member posts, a couple stand out. First, get a lesson and find out why you're having difficulty drawing the ball, based on your current swing and set up. Secondly, Dale is right, again; there are too many variables, without seeing your swing, for any of us in the forum to correctly assess the issue of why you can't draw the ball.

One thing you might start with (your teaching pro will probably agree) is swing path. You can't draw the ball if your current swing path is outside to inside. He or she may want to have you work on reversing that to inside out.

Again welcome to the forum, and best wishes.

Like Mike said, to shape a draw you need face closed in relation to swing path. You can technically still hit a draw with a swing path moving out to in, the ball will start left however and then draw further left (assuming you are right handed) I hope that makes sense and gives you a place to start!
