The smaller, local events require a Team Titleist member to step up and help organize an event. Lisa or Allan must officially coordinate the reservation for the course with an approved fee but the real work of advertising the event, getting sign ups, setting pairings, etc. is on the shoulders of a TT member that is willing to do the work and be the primary sponsor. Those are then listed on the "events" tab or under the discussions topics of "travel" or "clubhouse". There have been local events in Texas, California, Virginia, North and South Carolina. Alex was working on a "veteran's only" one in Florida. Right now I know of none happening close to you.

You're searching the correct tab. Local events that are organized by TT members and that have the approval of Titleist will be posted on the events tab. Usually, the TT organizer will make a post regarding the event in this forum. In addition, a similar post could be made on the private FB page.

I know last year, I attended a local event in Roanoke, VA that was organized by TT member, Wade W. and all the information was posted on the platforms I mentioned.

There is one posted for Charleston, SC for May 23rd. A one day event that was advertised around early April in the Travel site. So far we have two registrations with a deadline of the 15th with 20 tee times. Problem is with these local events, if we cannot fill the tee times and commitments to the golf courses some have had to be cancelled. I am the contact person and the registration is $50 at the number 19 rated municipal golf course by golf.com in the US.

Almost a shame to refer to the course as a municipal due to the often deserved reputation they have. But then again, Bethpage Black and Torrey Pines are munis. Neither will ever offer a day rate for a function for $50.
For anyone within 200-250 miles, it can be a great 2 day getaway that will appeal to non-golfing spouses or significant others. Lots of great restaurants in the metro area and the City has plenty of attractions. Chuck knows the area courses much better than me. His post above includes an e-mail if you want some recommendations for a second day of golf with a waterfront dinner sandwiched between 2 rounds of golf, go for it.
I would do it, but the plane fare from WI is a little steep on short notice and all my relatives moved to Asheville. We always enjoyed visits to the area when they were there.

As he notes, these events are use it or lose it. I’ve never had a bad time at any of the events I’ve attended. Well, maybe not D-3 at Streamsong with Hurricane Ian winning…. Good to help them flourish.

Thanks for the endorsement Don. Our municipal went unnoticed until the renovation with the Seth Raynor designs on the course. It is on the way to the Ocean course at Kiawah Island and for out of towners is it a bargain considering the prices at Kiawah. We locals pay $20-$45 dollars depending on whether we living in the city limits, are a senior, or live in the tri-county area. Those under 16 play for free. Non residents rates are $60-$80 and we average around 65,000 rounds a year. Bethpage Black who ranked #1 on the top 30 municipals by golf.com for non=residents runs $130-150/ residents $65-$75), Bethpage Red, #4 $86-96/$43-48, Torrey Pines South #5 $202-252/$63-98, Torrey Pines North #18 $128-$160/$44-$58 and Charleston #19 $60-$80/$20-$45. Our course being the oldest, built in 1929 shortly after the Country Club of Charleston and Yeamans Hall Golf Club.
