This year has been one of ups and downs with my game and my health, for those of you who know me. Finished PT, joined a club with fitness machines, had nose surgery. Have not played since June 19th. Handicap and ballooned up to a 21. Cannot remember when it has been that high. Today was a great day. Shot the lowest round I have had in over four months. I have been taking lessons and working with my pro on the range as well as on the course. Think some of it might have just sunk in. 86 might not seem like a good round to some of you, but when you have hitting in the high 90s and low 100s, it is a great feeling.

Most of the gained strokes were with my short game. It was like a light bulb came on and I was hitting them on the green from everywhere. As we all say it could have been better and truthfully it could have, the greens on the front were unmercifully fast today, because they had verdicut the greens. Had a Championship tournament for the juniors Tuesday and Wednesday. Now I will be off for another 3 to 4 weeks and see what person shows up then. Also no back pain. Hakuna matata. Sign of good things to come.
