Well, for all of you who come to Maui to Golf at Kaanapali and Kapalua. Lahaina is gone, from beginning to the end of Front street, from the mountain to the ocean. Its burnt,

Say your prayers, help us rebuild and make Maui stronger and better, too early to see what will happen to Tournament of Champions.

    Pray for us...ALOHA

Prayers are with you. My wife and I shed tears for our favorite place to visit in the world and it's wonderful people. It is the people who make the village. The lovely old buildings, the banyan tree, all gone, but we do have the wonderful memories of our visits. As we were once told by a couple of locals who made our visit one to remember, here today, gone to Maui.

    ‘A’OHE PU’U KI’EKI’E KE HO’A’O ‘IA E PI’I.

Many here on the mainland are wishing the best for everyone impacted by the recent wildfires. It's during times like this when everyone is 'Ohana.

My family and I visited in 2022 and we stayed on the Wailea side. We played one round on the Plantation course but with the new highway bypass which avoids old town Lahaina (and the traffic), I missed seeing all the old buildings and rich history...they are missed. Be well and safe.

I heard the famous Banyan Tree survived so it will be nice to see something original to build back around. Maybe the rebuild will even solve some of the traffic and parking issues that existed due to tourist congestion. While it will never be the same, I am sure the new Lahaina will continue to be a popular destination. The loss of life is so terrible and the impact to surviving residents will be long-lasting but I know we all wish them strength in the days, months, and years ahead.

Prayers to the people of Lahaina. I spent time there in 2019. I learned to surf at Maui Wave Riders and the shop is no more. Maui strong!

My wife and I are devastated by what happened to Lahiana, the people, homes, businesses, the old courthouse building, the harbor, etc. . We have friends and ohana on both Hawaii Island and Maui. One of our good friends on Hawaii Island, their son in-laws family lost their house and some of their friends are still missing. We've been praying for the people. Maui No Ka 'Oi
