I thought it would be fun to just see what the group thinks. So with that, two questions. 1. When did your Titleist Journey start? (How many years have you been onboard)

    2. What made you decide Titleist was your brand of choice?

For me, I've been playing Titleist in part or full for the past 20+ year. The quality of Titleist is just about the best in the industry if you ask me. Their products consistently year in year out are built to produce and also LAST! My favorite set of irons probably always will be the old DCI irons. Those things were just amazing to play! Obviously, Scotty's are the only putters I've loved and played. Vokey's, no better wedge IMO on the market. And frankly, of all the past drivers, I have to say the TSR line is hands down amazing! I am so impressed with them they might be my all time favorites.

Interested to hear what you have to say and what your thoughts are!

    Cheers!

Hi Bob, for me the road to Titleist (all in) has been a long one. I first started with a Scotty Cameron Circa 62 putter that I purchased too long ago for me to remember when it was. At that time I did not have any other Titleist equipment. I was young and most of the clubs I had were either given to me or purchased as cheaply as I could get. I'm left handed and back then there weren't a lot of options for us south paws. A few years later I was able to get a Vokey 60 wedge and that lead me to wanting to find additional Vokey wedges. They were that good back then and continue to be the best today. (IMHO) At that point the rest of my bag was other brands but I now had 3 Vokey wedges. I played with that bag set up for a long time. I'd update the wedges every few seasons, but everything else remained. Then 5 years ago I purchased a set of Titleist irons for the first time. A few iterations later and now I have a set of T100 Black irons, Vokey wedges, a Scotty Cameron Champions Choice 2.5+, and I began replacing the top end of the bag (hybrids, fairway metals, and driver) last season. Right now I have a TSR2 5-wood, TSi3 3-wood, and a TSR4 driver. All of the equipment is top notch (as we all know) and the performance I get is consistent. Ultimately that consistency along with quality of the equipment is what continues to make Titleist my brand of choice.

I started golfing over 25 years ago. My first set was "complete" but each iron was either from a different manufacturer or the same manufacturer but different models. The bug bit me and I decided to jump into a more "legit" set which was the Titleist DTR's.

Over the years, I've had multiple Titleist irons: AP's (multiple iterations of the same model) to the current T Series lines.

Besides the high-quality product Titleist designs for us, I really appreciate that the company wants to connect with its end users (like us). They provide forums like this for us to interact with Titleist team members and I truly believe they want our input. In addition, they provide opportunities and events for us to interact with them in person or virtually (Team Titleist Talks). I look forward to many more years as a Team Titleist member.

    1. My Titleist journey started back in the 90's when I got a bonus at work and went straight to the closest golf shop (conveniently not far from the office) and bought a DCI Oversize + sand wedge. It took a good long while before I filled out the bag with Titleist, but I'm finally there.

    2. I've wanted to play Titleist for as long as I can remember. It never worked out for me for one reason or another until recently with the 2019 T300's and then a 913D driver I got from a friend. It seems that since that DCI wedge I've always had Titleist/Vokey wedges in my bag, but finally invested in irons, a new TSi driver and hybrids seriously starting with those T300's. For me, it always seemed Titleist, while not only being a quality product, has been the best game improvement clubs I've ever played.

I still have that old DCI sand wedge...

    1. 12 years ago, I didn’t know Titleist made clubs. This was the year that Acushnet sold off Cobra. I was looking to get fit for their irons. Well, that wasn’t what was available. I didn’t know of Steve Stricker at that point. The club was his home course and they were a full fitting location for Titleist.
    2. It came down to G10 or 712 AP1. Being LH, these are 2 of the best options for those of that hit from the right side of the ball. The performance was similar but the AP1 couldn’t masquerade as a boat anchor. With a good relationship with the fitter/coach, my bag went from whatever was low priced 2nd hand clubs to a full bag of Titleist equipment. At one point, that square head swoosh driver was in the bag for about 3 weeks. I was scanning other golfers with that garbage can clanging. Indeed, it was not just the quality of the equipment but the relationship that both me and my coach knew I needed.

Was introduced to Titleist with their golf balls and a Bullseye putter when I started playing in 1984. Started moving to their equipment with the DCI irons that I won in a local invitational tournament. Later came their AP2 irons and then their line of 910 metals and I progressed up thru the years to my current set, TSi3D and TSi2f, 816h1, 818h1, T300 irons, SM9 wedges and SC Select Newport 2 putter. Kept my 917D and 917f because they still perform so well. Have sold all my other metals, irons and wedges to friends. Believe in passing on good equipment at a fair price for further enjoyment. With the current status of my game I am in a holding pattern on buying new equipment. My fitter said to go away until I get healthy. =)
