Took a trip to Bar Harbor, Maine 2 weeks ago. We were dropping our son at Logan International Airport on Friday, Sept. 27, and as luck would have it, there was a scheduled tour at 3:15 pm. Booked the tour for my wife and I. Before heading to the airport, I checked the travel time from Logan to BP3, and made sure to have plenty of time. However, when leaving the airport, realized we were going to be about 40 minutes late due to traffic. Called the number in my email and explained our situation, hoping to be able to join late in progress, or at least have an opportunity to go to the gift shop. Was very surprised when June said they would wait for me, as there was only one other person scheduled and she would call them and ask them to come a bit later.

When we arrived, June and our guide met us at the door. When you arrive, you will see your name on the video board, and you check in with your id and sign in. After viewing a short video, you are then led into the plant. It really is amazing how close you get to every aspect of the making of the #1 ball in golf. Seeing the making of the Pro V1 and Pro V1x from the beginning to the end really helped me understand what goes into each and every ball made. I will say it was one of the best tours I have been on. The team was very thorough and informative, and answered all questions.

At the end, you get to purchase some TT apparel and gear.

If you are in the area, I highly recommend making it a point to schedule a tour. You won't be disappointed. June and her team go out of their way to make it a great experience.

Now to try to get to Manchester Lane Testing Facility......

Sounds like a bucket list trip, Gary. Maybe one of these days we will have a TT invitational event up there. That would be awesome. A voucher to shopping at the store. One day for the tour and two days of golf. Hmmmm. =)

Great recap. I took the tour last year and will do so again in the future … it’s awesome. As an engineer, the extent of technology employed is best-in-class. I highly recommend it.

June is great. Glad they held up the tour so you could make it.

I did the tour this summer and thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend that people make the pilgrimage. My wife is not a big golfer but she enjoyed seeing the huge amount of engineering and technology that goes into making the best golf ball on the market.

My wife has played a few times. But she may have enjoyed it even more than I did. It truly was a bucket list item.

I love hearing stories like this. It’s confirmation why Titleist is not only the #1 ball in golf. But the best brand in golf hands down! The Titleist community is a special one.

Definitely a great experience, and next time I am up that way I'll be heading to Manchester lane too.
  13. Visited BP3 a year ago and had a blast. It's vertical manufacturing at it's best. Raw powder to packaged product all in one facility. Our hosts were tremendous and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend it.

We have NE on our bucket list for trips. This would make a great side visit. I really love that area for being a tourist. The Breakers is awesome,as are the clambakes. Good stuff, Gary. See ya soon.

It took some maneuvering to get my wife to agree to go to Ball Plant 3 tour. Combined a family party in MA, a stay on the Cape, and shopping and touring whalers in downtown New Bedford.

However, she was impressed with the whole tour and rang up a couple more souvenirs at the TT shop at the end. Win-win…

I did the tour early October, and it was more than worth the effort. The tour exceeded expectations and gave you a real hands on tour of the plant. Plus the staff were super friendly and the Team Titleist swag available for purchase at the end of the tour...WOW!
  18. What a great story and experience!

Congrats on the tour. June is the absolute best. She is a great representative of the brand we all love. Any Titleist enthusiast should really put this on your bucket list and make it happen. I flew from Philly to Boston and back on the same day and it was definitely worth it!
