It was a sad day today, no "home track" for 2 weeks. I play 4/5 times a week so heavy withdrawal going on.

I'm sure there are more than a few here who don't feel your pain since you're fortunate enough to play year 'round golf

My home course doesn't overseed during the winter, but our hybrid Bermuda starts to go dormant which means no more green fairways...until springtime.

I feel your pain. Ours in Phoenix were mostly in October with some running into November. I just used the time for traveling vacations and driving range practice.

Winter rye, the dreaded two week overgrowth. Gotta keep the greens nice and green during the winter months. =(
  5. We had our aerification in September like many courses in the midwest...fortunately everything is repaired now and we are playing without issues...70 degrees yesterday in Ohio!

I agree...not playing can give you a loss in this important gap in your life!!

No issues here with over seeding. 62 today but the ground will be freezing starting this weekend. Only have to wait until April for courses to reopen.
