I have had the AP3 iron set (4-9) for some time and was looking to upgrade. After getting fit I determined my set now is best for me and gets the distance, spacing, forgiveness, and workability I need when comparing to new sets. I was super excited to upgrade but didn’t make sense…I guess proving Titleist is timeless. So I decided to treat my clubs to a makeover. New grips was the start but noticed the ferrules start to separate a tiny bit. I looked around and saw there are so many amazing options to go with when treating your clubs. They look great, been getting compliments when playing with new people every round. If you haven’t looked into them it may worth your while. Do any of you fellow TTers upgrade components like this?

More into keeping them stock. When I decide to upgrade to newer models, I normally sell my older sets and stock items sell well for me. The crowd I play with a older and they are not really into cutesy. I do upgrade my grips about every year.

I've never dressed mine up - always stock. I don't know that my ADHD-esque attention span would be able to handle it at address. I do like the look of those though, they are pretty slick!
  4. Yeah I think you’ve done the right thing no point spending loads if they’re working for you. I like the look of them but opinions of others may differ.

Doing this after the warranty expires is okay but I would not recommend anyone doing it in the first year. Pulling the heads will void your warranty so any customization needs to be done by Titleist within the original build.

I like the standard black, but then again I'm a pretty boring guy.

I can appreciate the subtle design intricacies!
