About a week ago I dug out my old DTR's , grips were still ok. I played with them 4 times and decided to order 9(2-pw) grips to keep them playable for awhile. Haven't hit a 2 iron in 20 years but it was like riding a bike came back real quick. Anyone else game an old set every ounce and a while?

  2. Not anymore...I pretty much only use modern items...including putters, grips and irons...

    IMHO

The DTR's were my first set of Titleist irons. I ended up gifting them to a good friend. He doesn't golf regularly but when he does and I'm playing with him, it's nice to see my DTR's still doing their thing.

I picked up a 1980 Tour set, including 1-3-5 (persimmon) woods. Real beauties and it is possible some have never been hit. Nostalgia is a wonderful feeling but even hitting the 1 wood on the screws (literally) I don’t have enough speed to use them. No different with the irons. They are best used in a display mounting.

I was a DCI guy. I think a buddy still uses them.

Had a set, recently donated them to a guy just starting. Hope he keeps playing and updates, then over time passes those on to someone.

I had a png Eye 2+ copper 1 iron in the bag quite a few years ago.I took it out once last year just for kicks. Did not go well.....i guess i need training wheels on that bike I got back on!

May want to keep your old stuff handy if the golf ball roll backers have their way
