hey everyone, the last couple of years have been full of ups and downs and a lot of depression but back in palm springs now and it’s my happy place, pretty much starting from scratch with nothing, but sometimes you have to let everything fall apart to build yourself back up better and that’s what i’m doing. sitting in the airport seeing all the golf bags is giving me the desire to get back out there and i know i will one day soon enough. i’ve missed being around here and realizing how much golf helps with, at least for me it does, my mental health, so i’ve got the itch and motivation now so one day i’ll see you all out in the course again. but for now take care and be kind to one another. hit ‘em straight.

    Amanda,

I too go into dark places at times, its not fun. One must remember that golf is a game that challenges you mentally and physically. For four hours or more on the course your mind totally goes into a "golfer's" high and lows (when you don't play well), but its takes you away from things, so try to enjoy it and get back to it as soon as possible. Even if its just putting on the carpet at home.

Whether if you have a full bag of Titleist equipment or just use the ball, I believe we are like family here who will support, laugh, give snide remarks, or just share life's challenges. What I also do is to just give my creator a Thank you (if I remember in my old age) and ask that he guide me forward. Remember he doesn't have to wake you up each morning if he didn't think you could help him each day.

So hang in there, post things when you feel like talking to us, Maybe you'll be bragging to us about the hole in one that you will get. I still chasing that dream for over 50 years...... Keep plugging away, there's a reason....

Personally for me, I find solace on the golf course, especially when playing alone. The ability to clear your mind, focus on your shot and take in the beauty of nature, all laid out before you, instills a felling of peace and serenity, at least for me.

I wish you well Amanda, and hope you're back on the course soon.

Life is a journey, and not all the stops are sunny beaches and no wind or rain at St. Andrew’s. But golf is an important part of my life to challenge myself in search of the perfect round. Probably never find it, but the time on course is my special time to be introspective. Hope you can get back into the swing.

@Amanda, wishing you all the best as you embark on this new adventure. I enjoy the quiet walks that's part of playing golf. When you find time in your life, golf will be there and your colleagues here at TT can't wait to hear about all your wonderful stories.
  10. Amanda, it's been a long time since we last played golf in SoCal a number of years ago. Hope you are doing better, looking forward to seeing you at another TT event in the future!

    Cheers!!

I’ve been locked out of my IG account since I changed phone number and don’t remember my backup codes (who does anyways) but I created hopefully only a temporary one for now, but it’s Amandaschwan17 for those that were following me and if any new ones want to also.
