Hey everyone - I looked around to try to find a thread but didn't see one - sorry if it's a duplicate!

Played 18 in a scramble yesterday at Blue Top Ridge in Riverside, IA, benefitting the GIVE Foundation (Golf for Injured Veterans Everywhere). As a graduate of the program, it was an honor to be able to play and know that I'm giving back a great cause that gave me much to look forward to when I was going through some darker times.

My 9* TSR3 sent missiles down the fairway all day, putting our team in position to claim 1st place 2nd flight. My iron play was terrible, but I'm blaming that on the excessive tequila that one of my partners insisted on and not my lack of skill. Raffle tickets paid off with a new RTIC cooler, but my buddy hit the jackpot and walked away with a new 60*, a signed basketball/shirt from the Iowa WBB team, 4 rounds at a local course and a dozen PV1X.

All in all our group had a great day on the course and helped raise a bunch of money for a very worthy cause!

Played 9 on a whim with my Dad yesterday afternoon at Hunter's Ridge in Marion, IA and it was brutally bad. I put my opening tee shot 280 down the middle, left myself 105 and dropped my 50* to 24', then 3 putted.

2nd hole par 5 pushed my drive right but recovered for another three putt. Flew the green on my 2nd shot on 3 and got on for another 3 putt. Missed the green on 4, chipped over the green back and forth for a triple. Reread this line five more times and that's how the rest of the day went.

My putting was atrocious yesterday - pulled several to the left, misread breaks, and distance control was largely absent. The last few weeks my speed has been great and putts mostly on line, but no such luck yesterday. My wedges were also very poor around the green, which is normally the strongest part of my game.

Ended up posting a 52 on a course that I am normally 40-44. Super frustrating, but I guess that's how it goes sometimes. I'm glad I was able to get out and spend 2 hours with my dad and enjoy the weather. After work today I'm going to spend some time on the practice green and see if I can't work some of this out!
