I work with a great swing coach in SLC (Salt Lake Golf Academy) who happens to be affiliated with Titleist. About six weeks ago, we spent three hours trying out the new GT driver. I ordered the new club with an 11-degree loft and a senior flex shaft. I was so anxious to use the club that I didn't take time to have my coach adjust it for my swing.

At first, I was challenged in that I felt that my TSR2 was outperforming the new GT. After a week of frustrated effort, I had another lesson wherein we dialed in the loft. It made all the difference in the world. At 77 years old you need all the help that you can get. I have stopped carrying the RSR2 in my trunk. In my case the final adjustment was a game changer.

What I now notice is that my spin rate has decreased, my launch angle has increased, my dispersion has decreased, and my roll out has increased.

I remain Titleist through and through.

If Michael Breed needs an 11 degree Driver, then what does that say about most of us, the average golfers of the world. Fitting by a qualified fitter and outdoors, is of the utmost importance.

just added the new GT2 Driver and GT3 fairway and am beyond happy. Getting fit makes the shaft / Head combo just right. My regular sunday game partners have all joined the Titleist party. And i thought i could sneak the new driver in the bag without them noticing my new length.

Michael Breed is the best, love his enthusiasm. I got fitted for the 11* GT3 and love it!
