As Helene approaches from the Gulf, PLEASE be smart. My wife stayed home during Hugo that hit us in 1989, September 22. Not a smart decision. Looks like it will skirt us in SC with 50mph winds but you guys along the coast they are predicting 20 foot surges. I have seen 12 foot surges and my thoughts are with all of you. This is one horrific hurricane and please get the **** out of it's way. Hunker down if you live inland. This monster is coming. We are off to get petrol for my generator, just in case. 14500kw will run my whole house. Two words for the day. BE SMART.

Thanks, Chuck. I am in SE FL, so we got some gusty winds, but that was about it. My sister is in north FL and she got hit pretty hard. Fortunately no structure damages.

I did try to play on Wednesday as the storm was approaching, thinking it would help me with some wind-game practice, but after trying to hit a par 3 into. 50 mph headwind and needing driver, I called it a day.

    Thanks Chuck,
We escaped for the most part in Charlotte, but wow, the rest of the state. I wish all of those the best of luck a a speedy clean-up!
