    Hi All,

I'm heading down to Orlando next week to get in some much needed winter golf. Bay Hill will headline the trip, and we may make a day trip to World Woods. Does anyone have any recommendations for local courses to fill in the rest of the week?

I was down in Orlando a couple weeks ago and stayed/played at Bay Hill. It was an amazing place to stay and the course was absolutely beautiful plus in perfect condition. I also played Orange County National and that was another amazing set of courses.

Thanks Dave, I was looking at OCN any preference between Panther Lake or Crooked Cat?

I'll be honest, I would highly recommend checking out Streamsong golf resort. I believe it's about an hour and 1/2 from Orlando but it's well worth the trip.. They have 2 courses and I've only played the blue one...

I was hoping to go down again this year but it's not happening..

have a great trip and play well

Highly recommend World Woods, both courses are great. Fantastic driving range and the putting green alone is worth the greens fees. Also, Mission Inn in Howey-in-the-hills is a lot of fun with nice elevation changes.

Bella Collina, Champions Gate, or the Ritz Carlton are all top notch. They play the Father/Son at the Ritz. I personally prefer Crooked Cat at OCN, but both are stellar.....
  7. Are you considering a tour level golf course or more fun golf course? I agree with Edward K that the ritz carlton course is great but it is more fun IMHO, the Bay Hill Course is definitely more tour level challenge...I have always enjoyed Grand Cypress though going back to the 80's...

    Good Luck and enjoy!

Finally getting around to responding. Thanks for all the recommendations. For most of the trip we never left Bay Hill. If anyone has the chance to go don't hesitate, it's a golfers paradise. The lodge and the facilities are top notch as well. The championship course was in amazing shape as they were already setting up for the Invitational. The day we ventured off we played the North-South course at Grand Cypress. Very nice combo as they have three 9 hole tracks. Would strongly recommend it, the south course has some treacherous greens.
