    Hey Team Titleist - 

    I've been reflecting on my rounds of 2017 and was thinking about all of the beautiful courses I've been fortunate to play. But then I stopped to think about what has been my favorite tee shot? I love the feeling of standing before a beautiful hole and simply hoping for the best. 

    For me, it's the par-4 18th hole at Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio. With the clubhouse and back patio up on the right, it raises your adrenaline to not hit it that way. But you also have the bunkers nestled right in front of the green. What a beaut. 

    So now it's your turn. What course and hole has held your favorite tee shot?

    I was lucky enough to travel to South Africa and I have three that stick out in my mind:

    Hole 3 at Durban Country Club
    Hole 18 at Leopard Creek Golf Club
    Hole 12 at Pinnacle Point Golf Club

    All have different risk and rewards. If you haven't been to South Africa you need to go!

    Any one of the Par 3's at Whistling Straits. Tough holes to make a good tee shot but even tougher with the distracting views.

    Mine is hole 13 at The Champions Course at Bryan Park, Greensboro, NC (Site of the 2010 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship).

    From the back tees, measures as a 472 yard Par 4. Played it in the spring into the wind and I was happy with my bogey 5. :)

    I love/hate that hole so much. Hopefully I'll get back out there a few times this spring and summer, last time had to play the Players since they were punching greens; still a good course, but not as scenic.

    My favorite tee shot is still number 18 at MacGregor Downs C.C., where I worked for several years. Plays 446 from the tips, significantly downhill from the tee to fairway, I can't remember the exact distance to carry to the furthest landing zone but iirc it's in the neighborhood of 250-260. Relatively easy hole if you can at least make the middle LZ which I think is only about 220ish to carry, but that lake gets in your head. It's in to the wind in the afternoon/evenings as well.

    The 8th @ Royal Troon, the Postage Stamp. At only 123 yards from the Open tee and can be anything from a sand wedge to a 6 iron.

    Miss the green and put a double on the card.

    Hole 3, Mauna Kea, 223 yds

    A knee knocker for a tee shot, 210 yd carry over water into a 20 mph wind.
    I hit a 3 iron to 5 feet and sank the putt for birdie. My first round of the season, and a great start it was.

    Really hate to a killjoy and offer a generic answer, but at my age, Abby, I feel blessed every time I step up to any tee box. I find them all appealing. I just stop and think how fortunate I am to be out here playing this wonderful game we call golf. My favorite shot is the one I am about to hit. With due respect to the game of golf and enjoying life. I sometimes get so caught up the beauty of the courses and what mother nature offers, that I forget that I came out to play golf. Cheers......

    That's an awesome photo Abby, and TT.

    The #3 at Crystalaire CC in Llano, CA is easily my fav- a dogleg left, three consecutive bunkers on left, tree lined on left, and not to mention OB left. Wish I had a picture. But speaking of #1 hole and drives, here are two from my almost recent trip in Ireland. The first one is the Island Golf Club's #1, par four which narrows the further you go in- dunes on both side. The following is from further up north in the UK, it's the #1 hole at the Royal Country Down. I drove the ball well both days and those holes are stuck in my mind vividly.

    For me, it isn't a particularly tee, but more of a moment. There isn't anything like standing on the 16th, 17th, or 18th hole, with a stroke or two lead in a tournament. Sounds simple, just needing to find the fairway, but boy can it be a challenge. Love going to the bag and pulling out my Titleist 915F 3-wood. Taking a deep breath; trying to keep the nerves down and put a good swing on it, to secure safety. All these elements add together to make the amazing feeling. It's pressure, but in a great way.

    17 at Bethpage Black - demanding 210 yd shot to a sliver of a green guarded by bunkers.

    I was blessed enough to play at Harbor Town this past summer. What a great experience!
    By far one of my best tee shots all year came on the picturesque 17th. Stuck it within a foot, and my caddie told me even I couldn't miss that putt. I did make it for my only birdie of the day.
    I then strolled over to the 18 full of confidence and felt obligated to play one from the back tees. I'm sure I'm not the only one who got the thill of trying to play it from where the pros do. I nutted it...pure and straight, no fade at all...and long. We get up to the ball, and I can see it maybe cleared the marsh by 5 feet! My caddie just looks at me and said " great shot, wind slightly in our face 240 to front edge...."
    This may not have been my best tee ball but by far the most humbling one.

    The par-3 15th at the Francis H. I'i Brown South Course at Mauna Lani Resort is one of several holes on the Pacific. This is one of my all time favorite places to play golf. This par 3 is hard to beat for its beautiful and challenging. On any given day reaching this green can have you using a 9 iron all the way up to a 5 iron all depending on the wind and its direction. It's one of my favorite tee shots in golf.

    That's an incredible shot of the Signature #15 on the South Course. My wife and I have stayed at Mauna Lani Point more than 15 times and usually in one of the condos overlooking #15 and have never seen this part of the ocean like that. It's always been rather calm.

    Hey Todd....Yes Todd....it's a magical day in paradise anywhere, but at Mauna Lani Bay on the Island of Hawaii when the weather is perfect and the breezes are mild! However, your Torrey Pines has some of the most picturesque holes in golf and have been lucky enough to play both North and South courses several times as I live in So.Cal. We're pretty lucky her in So Cal. with some real beauties up the coast from Torrey Pines to Pebble Beach! Hit'em straight and have fun Todd!

    I'm in agreement with Todd T. Geez Kevin, I already wanted to go back to Hawaii, now it looks like I need to go back. :)

    Love all the pictures everyone is submitting, shows how unique and beautiful the places we get to enjoy this game.

    Pat 3 16th at Port Royal Golf Course, Southampton Bermuda. Nothing good if you’re left, and my normal miss is an overcooked draw. I wasn’t able to tee it up there this year, but I’ll give it a go next!

    Abby, Where was I? I caddied there in my younger days and love that hole. Only get a chance once in a few years to play it but well worth it. Looking forward to them hosting the Solheim Cup..

    The tee shot at Bay Hill on hole #18 is the best. Thinking of all the greatest players in the world and of course The King himself, Mr. Arnold Palmer standing on the same spot as you trying to fire a tee ball straight over the hill with OB left and deep rough right, is the most wonderful feeling in the world!
