TT member and a great friend Tyler Higley met up with me down in Florida to play Streamsong over a weekend. The plan was to play the Red course Saturday, stay the night and then 36 on Sunday, Blue and Black. Let's just say the weekend didn't disappoint. Perfect weather all weekend, a little hot but i'll take it coming from the cold weather and A LOT of walking.. My feet were hurting Sunday night but all worth it...
My favorite of the 3 was the Red course. I really enjoyed the lay out and it was fun to play but challenging. Blue course was also fun, a little easier than the Red I think and their signature hole, #7 par 3 didn't disappoint.. Now the Black course tee to fairways were good, just like the other courses but the greens, good lord... never in my life have i seen greens like these.. The knolls are ENDLESS on some of the greens and some of the BIGGEST greens I have ever seen and b/c of that I was kind of turned me off so the Black course was my least favorite. But they have a killer 18 hole putting green that was fun to play, they call it the gauntlet.
All in all Higs and I had a great time. We played some good golf and not so good golf but we still had a blast. Beats sitting at home and watching the snow fly...
Yes, I would recommend playing here. It's in the middle of no where and about an hour off the highway of just long and whining roads. I know people have played here and they recommend other places to go, blah blah but this place is a must at least once. And if you do it, play all 3 and get it out of the way... They do have a replay rate when you play 36.. We didn't do caddies the first 2 rounds but definitely the last round.. We needed it...
Looking forward to catching up with Higs again in May with the other crew.. Can't wait...
