You will find several previous posts about golf in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. You can also use a resource like
golfnow.com to find courses in the area. Keep in mind that Phoenix is a "2-season" destination as many residence are Canadian or live in northern states in the summer and winter in the Phoenix area. That makes the place much more crowded and rate at courses get extremely high. You will pay a premium price at all the best courses. Enjoy your trip. The weather is usually great here that time of the year.

I travel to PHX/Scottsdale 3-4 times a year for a week to 2 weeks at a time. I was there in Feb for the WM and had a blast. It is a great event. Be prepared for sticker shock when it comes to playing that week. I was paying $200+ for courses that I would pay $50 or so for in the Summer when I go. It is crazy, but I understand it. Even at those prices, the courses are packed.

Another resource is Golf Digest's best courses in the state. That's always a go to for me when I travel. Like Dale mentioned above be prepared for crowded courses and high green fees. Don't be surprised if a course is asking $350 or more. Enjoy the WM and enjoy the desert.

Went to WM last year. Great event…but agree with sticker shock on cost of greens fees. Troon North was $350 and that week didn’t provide Troon Prive pricing benefit (didn’t need to, course was packed). Played both courses at Boulders in Carefree, terrific views and tracks. Think further you get out of Scottsdale area you’ll find great courses, not as crowded and more reasonable fees.
