  1. Hey, I have been using the original Titleist Vokey Spin Milled Wedge 58-08 for probably 10+ years. I have been able to replace them by buying on ebay. I probably have gone through 5+ of them. What I love and need most is the grind of the club. I use that club for every shot 80 yards in. I especially love it off the fairway near the green. I can hit low trajectory high spin shots that stops after two or three bounces, or open it up to get more height when I have less green to work with. The wide sole is also great in the bunker and I don't have a problem with it digging in the same. I obviously am shallow with my wedges around the green. Here's the question: what is the name of the grind on that wedge and what current vokey wedge would most closely resemble it?!?!? I have tried the M wedge and its just not tight enough off the fairway. I have not tried the L wedge. Thanks so much.

It sure sounds like it was some version of the M. It's possible that the original version had slightly less of a camber on the sole. This might be a good question for a Titleist/Vokey staff member to comment on.
  3. Great idea! Still waiting on a Titleist/Vokey staff member to comment on it. Would custom order the grind from Vokey if knew what to ask for.

You may want to try finding a Vokey Premier Fitting center. Besides the SM8 D, M, S, and K wedges in 58 degrees, Vokey Wedge Works also has a "low bounce" K grind that may work better on tight fairway lies and perform better open in the bunkers.

Even the experts from Titleist would still giving opinions in the forum. A qualified fitter working with you will have the best advice.
