After getting with my Titleist fitter this morning, placed my order for the SM9 Tour Chrome wedges. 52.08F and 58.10S, 2* flat. 1/2 inch flat on the shafts (AMT Red regular, which are 2 grams lighter than my T300 shafts) with GolfPride Midsize MCC Plus grips. Understand in talking with the Titleist rep the AMT shafts are in stock, but with the backlog, it is going to be at least eight weeks for delivery. Thru a collaborative effort of my fitter and my rep, we hope to correct some of my short game issues. Of course, as they say, it is the Indian. As you can see, I am not a digger. No worries.

  2. I can’t wait to have my SM9 wedge fitting and get the wedges in my bag for this summer golf.

Play well Chuck when your new Wedges arrive.

Went by my Titleist certified fitter/repair shop this morning and casually as them to check on my wedges. They called Titleist and was informed that the heads are on backorder and will not be in until June. They immediately ordered the shafts from Titleist which are being sent out today and will be here in three business days and they will complete the build here with heads they have in their shop. His repair shop can complete the specs. Hope to play with them next week. Ending up getting the brushed steel and made another change. Went from the 58.10S to a 56.10S due the type of sand I play every day. I will hang onto my SM7 58.12D and use it when play softer sand at other courses. This most like will be a good change. Whew, where there is a will, there is always a way. =)

Picked up new wedges this morning and they are stunning. Cannot wait to get them on the course tomorrow. Wish I could post a picture of them on my post. Please bring back that option for the community. Just food for thought. No need adding new posts.

One additional note, my FJ Premiere Field shoes came in yesterday. White with brick soles. Old school. The stars are really lining up.

Hey Chuck, I am going AMT Red on mine this time around too. I always played standard TTDG S200 but wanted to try and match my irons this time. Also, cool that you and Tiger wear the same shoes except I know he added metal spikes. :) See you when I see you.

Am on the waiting listing and hope I can get to FL. Ready if I get the call. Wish I could hit the ball like TW. Mine is just to bipolar. ha..ha..ha. fact....... =)

Have my SM9’s on order. Will find out if luck runs with being Irish and LH or if head availability for LH is just another form of purgatory.

Hey, since you are Irish, why aren't you heading over with me in May to play all the Irish gems?

Gave it thought, but had multiple unplanned expenses this year that were more than the trip. “Wish I was there” but it looks like you are having a ball. My next Isle trip will be on the southern end to both golf and find the old sod homestead 4 generations back.

Now 4 weeks and counting on the wedges. Won’t worry until the 4th of July. I miss the old days of 10-12 business days to deliver to the Midwest from ordering. I got the standard 8 week timeline even though using the AMT Red shafts and grips sent in the box.

I ordered my SM9s in February and hope to get them by the end of April. My pro checked today, and the order is acknowledged, but no ship date yet.

Love the new 52*. Played on Monday. Great around the greens. Two out of three ain't bad as the song goes. Chipped in twice and once short by two inches. All from over thirty feet. Came up short on one birdie, made the other and the third made par. Interesting comments from the team we were playing. Just said new Vokey's.
  13. Ordered 3 raws in Feb, still no ship date. Any of you fellas have any idea what lead time is these days?

Leo…ordered mine Feb 12th through my Titleist fitter, got them yesterday. 2 and a half months for 2 wedges with nippon shafts. Crazy is takes that long.

Plus…my fitter requested +3 wraps which is 1 wrap under midsize at 3/64. They came back at 1/16, midsize!! He even sent me a copy of his order sheet, wasn’t his fault. Now, if we take a wrap off, it will increase the swingweight. I am all Titleist and have been for years, but waiting 2 1/2 months, then to have a screw up like this is disappointing to say the least.
  16. That's a bummer Bax. I've given up on ordering with requests on grips. I always just choose "grip in the box" now. Glad you got your wedges! I'm still waiting on mine. Mind boggling really, as the shafts were in stock at the time of order. Now the low bounce K grind is out, and i'm regretting ordering the m grind with a "tour grind." oh well, such is life....
  17. Got fitted for SM9 Vokey wedges. It was worth the wait of 45 days to receive my new wedges. They are the best wedges that I have ever played from fairway, rough, bunkers, and hardpan/tight lies. These wedges provide me with a ton of confidence to pull off shots and lower my score.

I ordered a new Vokey 48.10° F wedges through a Titleist fitting day on May 24 and received an email update the club is in process. Nippon Modus 105 with custom stamps on it, too. It's a few weeks sooner than the original fulfillment date.
