Dear TT It's been a while since I started a new thread but the addition of 2 SM 9's has prompted this post. A month ago I purchased a 54/10S for use in the bunkers and green side chipping and a 60/04T as before as well as 'getting it high and landing it soft' when short sided or faced with slopes etc. I have now had 2 lessons using these clubs and played 6 rounds, they are the future ! I have never had a lob wedge before and don't know whether I would even class the 60/04T as one. Due to the lack of bounce it just seems to slide easily under the club and seems to give you a graceful hop instead of a big lob, comes down soft and stops. Would I recommend trying the 60/04T, absolutely . Am I using it yet to it's full potential, probably not. So if any of you already have the 60T I would be interested to read your thoughts. Thanks and enjoy

  2. Really interesting read, they are my next purchase!
  3. Completely agree N. I recently purchased x3 SM9’s: 50 F grind and 8” bounce; 56 M grind adjusted to 55” also 60 S grind adjusted to 59”.
I got fitted at Saltford GC having worked on turf interaction and gapping.
Still me on the other end but the confidence levels are high especially using one of the 3 releases technique by Dan Grieve..

Great set up for playing most all golf courses. Players tend to choose mid bounce wedges to create shots around the green, as they help achieve exact distance and trajectory control.

By changing the loft it did also change the bounce. You 56.08M is now a 55.09M and your 60.10M is now a 59.11. Congratulations and good luck with your new set up. Wish I had that short game.

56-08M becomes 55-07M. When you decrease loft, bounce decreases. I play a 54-10S to 52-08S. 56-12D, 58-04T. I’ve preferred 58 vs 60 for lob. I have a 60-14K bent to 58 and it can hit off tight lies if I play it back.

After exhaustive practice on wedges and a couple rounds of golf, a three loft setup of 48-56-64 is good. I have a 56-12D for high bounce and 58-04T bent to 56 for low bounce. For my Sunday bag, have two custom forged wedges at 49/7 and 56/0 plus the Wedgeworks 64W. I played Torrey in 2018 with 50-58-64.
