I have been fortunate enough to participate in these tests for several years. It is always a ball (pun intended). My playing friends get jealous. Having read many of the posts, I find it interesting that the majority of the testers assume that it is a "new Pro V". I do not assume that as I have recently found the NXT TourS and am now a loyal user. The curse of Northern Ohio this time of year is a pretty constant temp of 50's with some wind. I can layer up but the balls assume the temperature of the day. My constant observation of the prototype ball was that it was a harder feel and sound - much like I experience with the PRO V when I find one. Even off the putter face it was a much more definite "click" than the NXT TourS. It is reminiscent of some Callys that I have played. Possibly it was the temperature but if it was, it affected the prototype more than the NXT. Surprisingly, when hit solidly both balls performed exceptionally well. Thanks again Titleist for the privilege of participating.
