Nice high launch seems to cover about 4-5 extra yards on scoring irons. Great feel and feedback on well struck shots.

Received these "test balls" last week and played 1 round with them. Not as soft as the ProV1 but great spin on the mid irons. Great bite on the greens and putts well. Distance was maybe slightly longer than the ProV1. I like the balls a lot!!

These test balls are very impressive, long with great feel. I play pro v's and was very pleased with the test balls. Thanks
  4. Thank you very much for the sleeve of Test ProV1x. Had a chance to play them the day after I received them in the mail. The distance was about the same as the previous model, but the short game control seemed much better. I felt I have more spin on the short chip shots so I could be aggressive and the trajectory on the 80-100yard shots was perfect. Would love to put these in play as soon as they hit the market. Thank you again Titleist
  5. Got sleeve of test balls last fall and they turned out to be the new Velocity. Loved them. Long but still had a soft feel around the greens. Bought some when Spring arrived up north.
  6. I tested the prototype , wasn't sure which ball it was but found to be much softer feel off irons and putter on very fast greens , found it to be fantastic

I tried the test balls and was pleased by the performance. I had the red number so I assumed they were 1X,which I usually play, and it seemed to have a bit more spin on my wedge shots. I unfortunately ended up losing them in the leaves. But I loved the balls!
  8. Been hitting Pro V1 and Velocity, the test ball was equally as good as the Pro V1 and I had 8-10 yards more than the Velocity. Liked the feel of the ball when putting.

Received the test balls and just played with them. Not sure which ball I was actually testing but I normally plat Pro V1 and V1X.
Impression after one round which isn't totally conclusive was that with the driver there was less spin. I normally have a draw and found that the ball seemed to have a straighter ball flight. Seemed to have lost a slight amount in distance but weather has changed in the north east.
Actually realized a slight yardage gain with my irons.
Looking forward to next round to see if the feedback remains the same.

Played this sleeve of, I assume ProV1's, as the were numbered in black. The flight was high and straight just like I demand from a ball. They preformed well around the greens and have excellent soft feel while putting. I will continue to use Titleist golf balls though the Nxt Tour is more in my price range. Thanks for the opportunity as a tester and keep me on the list.

Love the opportunity to test balls. However, having to wait months as has happened more than once to learn the test criteria, which put it months after having played and tested the balls, was an absolute waste of time as I was unable to clearly and truthfully answer the questions posed. It would thus be very helpful if the test criteria and questions were provided along with the balls.

I received my test sleeve and played Conway Farms the next day. I usually play with a Pro V1x and did every other hole. The test ball I used made it through the whole round and I saw reduced spin (good for me) from 125 in. So much so I hit a couple drop shots with V1X to see if it was just the greens. Durability was the same. Off my putter it was the expected soft firm feel .. .great ball .. but no surprise.

First thank you for the sample. I have one left. I love the feel off the irons more than woods.

I was expecting an email like before to give my feedback but never received one. I can't wait for more great stuff from Titleist.
  14. I appreciate the opportunity to test different golf balls under anonymous conditions. The first round with the ball wasn't enough to put it through its paces but after a few rounds I came around to the new feel. The follow-up from Titleist actually telling me what ball that I had been testing was much appreciated and refreshing to see. Keep up the good work.

ProV1x; the cover seemed much softer, green side spin was just as you'd expect from a Pro-V, drop and stop performance. Cover durability was better off of the wedges, no scuffs or abrasions on less than full shots. Found that this ball was easier to flight down than the previous model, much easier to control into the wind. Overall an elite ball, with improvements in most aspects compared to the previous model; personally thought the '16 V1x is a tad longer.

I enjoyed testing the new Titleist ball. It seemed softer to me and had more spin on short irons and approaches. It did not seem longer than the Pro V I currently play but I did like the added spin as it gave more more control of my ball. Can't wait for it to come to market. Thanks Titleist!

Just got my balls on Thursday and put one into play yesterday. I alternated holes...prototype one hole, my usual Pro Vix the next. Feel is definitely softer than my Pro Vix...distance actually seems better to me. I hit a par five in two on the fifth hole I played and don't usually reach it. :)

Stopped on greens very well but it was a damp, dreary day so I can't swear that it's better, just that I had no problem stopping ball within a few feet of where it hit. Was very nice chipping and pitching the new ball. Soft feel and control.

(Maybe I should have been playing the V1 instead of the V1x all this time).

Still looked brand new after the round (Luckily no cart paths or rocks) so I would say durability is good.

I will probably give more feed back after I play this week down in Scottsdale where it will be much warmer than my home hear (50's-60's this past week...80-s next down there).

    So far...it's a keeper.

Thanks for giving me this opportunity to test,

    Mark

Received and played the test sleeve and thought that they were not as 'hard' as the ProV. Off the driver the ball felt to stay on the face and gave me a straight flight. Ball flight was also not quite as high as other balls but flew out rather than up. Irons were consistent as around the green.

Got to test the Titleist NXT Tour Ball.
Great feel and distance with my Hybrid Fairway woods and good feel when using my wedges from 80 yards in. Ball was a plus. I did not find much diff off the Tee with my driver but it has always been my trouble club.
