I am no scratch golfer, play off 9HC, but I feel although the AP2/CB/MB look better visually I get great performance from the AP1. I am not able to work the ball as much but the club makes up for this with its forgiveness. I don’t need to work the ball as much as I need a little forgiveness. I can only speak for myself but I would sacrifice a little workability as long as I am within 5-10 yards of my target as opposed to 15-20 yards. I think the AP3 is a great direction to move in for its looks and it’s forgiveness. I have hit them all and the AP3 was my favorite, good enough to consider trading my 716 AP1 for 718 AP3. Obviously to each their own but happy to give my opinion. Good luck!
  2. I use 718 AP1s, but am not a low handicap. I'm an 18 having worked very hard this past year and broke the 90 threshold several times! Best of luck.
  3. This may come a little late but I used to play miz blades and decided to try Titleist 716MB's....liked them, but hit the 716 CB's better. visually the top line isn't bad at all and now love them.....I would only change if I could get hold of a set of the "New" limited edition 680's because they just look soooo good. Hope you've got yourself sorted.

I play an AP3/AP2 combo set as a 3 handicap.... which is great for me. I picked up a club to a club and a half of distance....with higher trajectory and beautiful ball flight.

But I have a friend that is a 2 and he picked up the AP1's this year. He gained so much distance, along with better dispersion. He's also won enough skin money at his home course to pay for the set. He'd tell you to go out and get fit for them this instant. :-)

I say go try the AP1, 2 and 3 and go from there.
