I usually play 13 clubs, sometimes only 12 so nothing more in my bag.

Interesting question. I actually have been thinking that I don't need a couple of clubs I have now. To answer your question though, I would probably add a 2 or 3 utility for the times that you HAVE to find the fairway.

I've thought of this from time to time. It would vary from course to course, but in most instances, it would probably be another wedge. Whatever I added would likely be the one club I never need during that round.

Definitely another wedge. In addition to my Vokey 48.10F GW and my 54.12D sand wedge, I presently play EITHER my 58.12D LW or a 60.08M LW, depending on conditions. However, I would carry the 58.12 AND a 60.04L if I could have a 15th club. (One high bounce and one very low bounce.)

A 7 wood

I only carry 13 clubs currently, so your hypothetical wouldn’t change the makeup of my current set. Having been fit at the Manchester Lane Titleist facility, I have found the optimal 13 clubs that provide proper gapping for my game and my home course. I do have additional sand and lib wedges that I swap out based on course/conditions.

A question I reckon many have thought about. Drop a long club for a wedge, or drop a wedge for a long iron/fairway wood...

Personally I would add a wedge and change the gapping between the highest loft and PW. So, adding a Vokey would be my choice.

Either a driving utility iron or a 4th wedge.

A Hybrid to match up with my 4 iron.

I am another 13 clubber so no additions for me.

Nope definitely no more for me, I’ve got enough problems trying to hit the 14 already ️‍♂️

I would add a Hybrid. I currently do not have any fairway or hybrids in my bag as I go from driver to an 18* U510 2 utility iron then a 21* T200 4 iron to a 60* SM 8 Vokey.

So the only addition I would make based upon lies & course (with thicker rough) would be a Hybrid.

I would go with a driving iron of some kind to help in wind and or punch out if needed. I carry 14 now, but really only use 12 of them.

For me it would be another wedge as well, like a 64* to complement my 52, 56 and 60 Vokeys.

At one point I carried 17 clubs. I was trying to decide between 2 drivers, 2 putters and a 5 or 7 FW so was carrying 2 drivers, 2 putters, and 3 5 7 FW to go with my 3-pw,sw,lw. So I had to cut it down to get to 14, but I'm there now and love the ease in which I can remove clubs from my bag!!

But if I had a bag that made it possible to carry 15 clubs easily, I'd probably add a 7w back into it, but I may end up replacing my 3 utility iron with a 7w eventually any way.

The driver, 23-27H, 7-9 irons, Vokeys and the Scotty have been fixtures in my bag since before COVID. I have a 3 wood (913Fd 13.5 set to A3) in reserve. Also have a 695CB 6 iron. Plus a couple Bullseye putters.
