Looks like a "Wrist Puller" to me. Never pull on a glove from the wrist. Use your thumb and index finger and pull down from the palm, then use your index finger and work down the fingers in between. A pro showed me this method many years ago and I've never torn a glove since. The last 10 years, I've lived in Florida and my hands sweat like crazy in the summer. I've learned to keep the glove on, even putting, for the whole round or until it's too wet and have to change it. I use the Titleist Players glove under any conditions. Everything else feels like a catchers mitt.

I would suggest the synthetic FootJoys. TropiCool or WeatherSof. Any leather glove will not hold up to extreme sweating and the synthetic will also wash out and dry better.

The FJ TropiCool provides unmatched gripping power in all weather conditions. For those golfers who play in hot and humid conditions, this is the glove for you. Can be washed if soiled with a mild detergent. My personal favorite summertime glove and have had one glove make it thru a minimum of two summers, if cared for properly in following the instructions on the package. I prefer the TropiCool over the WeatherSof......I find that the Fibre Palm provides much better grip.........

With respect: Removing a Golf Glove. Unfasten the glove. Tug gently on the glove near the end of each finger and your thumb until the glove is loose on your hand. Grasp the loose fingers of the glove all together and slip it off of your glove hand.

Chuck, since you "quote replied" to my post, hoping you didn't think I needed a tutorial on how to put on and take off a glove? :) Especially since I rarely wear one.

Have you tried the FJ Stasof? The leather is slightly thicker than the players glove and I feel has a longer life. Give it a try if you haven't already

The FootJoy WeatherSoft is a very durable glove.

I second this! I love the Titleist gloves but they just don't hold up to multiple rounds, which is fine if you are a Titleist staffer. I stick to the WeatherSoft FJ gloves, I buy the two pack and just rotate them each round. That set up lasts me a full season in Southeast Idaho.

Footjoy All-Weather...virtually indestructible. I have 2 that I have been rotating exclusively using for 2 years now. No holes, no wear marks, still in great shape.

Very hot and humid in my area. Traditional leather gloves would be soaked after 3 holes, would have to rotate 4 gloves per round, even then - questionable grip.

I have not gone back to natural leather gloves, even on cooler dry days.

As much as I love cabretta leather because of its softness and overall feel, if you are looking for durability, I would go for FootJoys' TropiCool or WeatherSof.

I currently use Titleist Players glove but it does not last that long.

I noticed the current Titleist Players glove sleeve no longer includes the "Care of your Titleist Players Glove" on the back. The past generation sleeve included the following three steps:

1. "Carefully work the glove over your hand, smoothing it back from the fingertips as you put it on. Never pull on the glove from the cuff".

2. "After wearing, always smooth the glove out. If it is wet or damp, allow it to dry at room temperature to regain its original fit and feel".

3. "For maximum life, the glove should be stored in this sleeve or in a plastic bag. Many golfers prefer to own several Titleist gloves and rotate them from round to round. This will extend the life of each glove significantly".

When the temperature dictates it, I remove my glove after each shot. It is something I have always done. If it is real hot I don't wear a glove.

I use the Titleist Perma Soft glove. Mine usually last about a month. I tend to play between 20-25 rounds a month. I have even turned a friend onto them and his gloves are lasting about the same amount of games. I am very happy with my gloves softness and endurance.

I'm not sure if you live near a Dicks Sporting Goods or Golf Galaxy, but they will let you but insurance on all gloves for $2. If the gloves tears or is damaged within 1 year of purchase, they will replace it. Best secret in golf right now.

My favorite glove to play is undoubtedly the Titleist "Players", especially when starting a competitive round on a fabulous course. But you asked about the longest lasting glove. On that front, I would refer you to the HIRZL Trust Control 2.0 Golf Glove, which can be found on Amazon. It is an incredibly durable glove, made of kangaroo hide which embodies properties that make it impervious to weather. I use that product mostly to practice in, but I think you might find it fits into your rotation with Titleist gloves. Good luck.

I stopped wearing a glove many years back. Being a lefty, rarely were there ever any available in golf shops so it was always inconvenient to find one and they never last as long as we think they should. I said heck with it!

I admit I'm a bit more frugal so I've never tried the expensive gloves. As far as making one last it's all about rotation. Wear 3 or 4 gloves per round and change them before they get too sweaty and they should last. And don't be a "Wrist Puller"!!

Though I too believe the Titleist Players glove is one of the best you can buy, the FJ Pure Touch is better "feeling" than any glove I have ever used. It's also the most expensive, unfortunately. Thankfully, I can get them through a Titleist connection I have at a bit of a discount, so every couple months I buy a 3-pack of them. For most everyday-play and practice rounds I wear a FJ Weathersoft, but for days when I play in a competitive round, FJ PureTouch is the glove on my left hand. It just adds to helping me feel like everything is just right.

Thanks guys. The tropicool looks kinda nuts for the summer. I might start rotating my gloves also every few holes so I don't sweat them out.

Normally I just use FJ GTXtreme for practice at the range and rotate between Titleist Players and FJ Pure Touch within a round..

Titleist pure touch, lasts ages for me and the thumb, an area that always goes first for me lasts longer than any other glove I’ve used.

Never had a Titleist glove last more than a few rounds. Footjoy gloves for me.
