  1. Just curious to what does everyone like to do when your not on the course? You must have some down time , so lets hear it. What do you do? I make crafts out of old golf equipment and then paint.

  2. Hunting and fishing are my are my next to favorite hobbies. However, with two kids under 2 my free time is gone. It will be the first time in a lot of years I won't be out in the woods for opening of deer season. Much like in other northern states opening day is like a holiday.

I'm a solid DIY nut - that is often in conflict with getting in more than 20 rounds a year. I have a too large collection of power tools (even worse than the 3 sets of golf clubs, 4 bags, and 22 Titleist headgear). I only contract for roofing, larger drywall projects, and electrical. Next year with retirement, I'll be able to DIY on weekends and golf all week.

Being from the North, coach hockey. Golf is #1, but I do like the break - problem is our break is too long here in NY.

I'm the opposite of Andrew K, my wife and I having been empty nesters for over 10 years. Beginning the new year we're ice fishing. We escape the cold for a Caribbean scuba vacation. Spring turkey hunting, spring fishing opener and golf courses all open around the same time. I fish walleyes on the May weekends, then sporadically the rest of the summer. I try to get in a little local scuba diving. I fall I bird hunt with my English Setter, grouse and woodcock locally, pheasants in Iowa or South Dakota. Our deer hunting opener is the Saturday before Thanksgiving. With all those other hobbies, you might wonder where I get the time to keep my handicap down!

I fished Bass Tournaments for 16 years, then took 10 years off & now I 'm back fishing again. So that's my alternate to golfing is fishing. Both have beautiful sunrises & sunsets and a peaceful surroundings..

Those are really cool looking items Ralph, nicely done.

Enjoy traveling with my wife and attending art auctions. We collect Peter Max, but are open to others. We met Renoir's great grandson at a couple of event's and picked up a couple of his paintings. Cannot afford the great grandfather's. We have met every artist who's paintings we own. That's what make's it fun. We are going to Memphis tomorrow, Durham the week after that, Bermuda the end of October. We are headed on an Art Auction cruise to the caribbean 2020, plan on attending the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando and play golf in Tampa while we are there and to Amsterdam, France, Germany and Switzerland in 2020. Cruising up the Rhine river. My wife works for the cruise lines here in Charleston and we may take a couple more cruises next year. Hopefully get to travel to a TT event next year. When you are retired, life is good. I have a part time job working at golf events (pro/ams, member/member, member/guest at various courses) fitting folks for shoes, gloves, and writing orders for a pretty good golf shoe company. It's like the number one shoe on tour. Do around 15 to 20 events a year. And I do enjoy my spare time with my next best friend, my miniature dachshund Katie. She is good company, is 13 and does not hear very well, but is in good health. Bought a few fishing rods for pier and surf fishing when I retired and that went over well for a few years, now they have a permanent home in the he shed. Bought a 20ga over/under for bird hunting at retirement and that lasted about as long as the fishing. Sold it to a buddy for his granddaughter. Bought a new driver. =)
  15. Chuck Z, that’s amazing that you have met the people that you own of their artwork. I bought a couple golf pieces at an antique sale. Don’t know who the artist is but one looks like the Masters and the other looks to be maybe the Open. Maybe you can help my find out more about these pieces. Have a good time on your trip, sounds exciting .

I downloaded your prints and will forward them to the auctioneer that we deal with. He lives in our area but is the Director of all auction sales for the gallery for the US and see what he says. The gallery he represents is out of Detroit and is one of the largest. Will advise.

Just got a response and he does not recognize the signature nor the works. Sorry. Recommend taking it to a local gallery and see what they say. Might be a local artist from the area where you purchased it. Sometimes there is information on the back of the works there can give you more information. Will look great in a golf room/man cave. Nice pickup. =)
  18. Thanks for checking. Thought they look like some artwork you might see in the New Yorker magazine. But I’ll keep checking. Thinking it might be one of those antique roadshow finds where I bought it for $10 bucks and they would be worth a lot more. Once again thanks for checking and have a great trip.
  19. Hunt. fish. camp, hike, and explore thrift stores for golf bargains. Of course big football fan.

I like Dale V's vision. I golf Mon-Thurs almost every week. Read a lot of books. Spend some time online as a chat advocate for the same pretty good golf shoe company that Chuck Z works with. Travel from time to time for enjoyment and to visit family.
