  3. I think whatever a player thinks is comfortable should be allowed. We aren't in the 1930s anymore. The game is evolving. As is other things in this world. Clubs and the Tour need to take one for the team and set their ego and old school ways to the side. I think shorts in tournament rounds should be allowed too. Nobody should have to wear slacks when its 110 degrees outside, ie; Bellerive PGA Championship.

I feel there is a big disparity between most people think of as a “hoodie” and what Justin Thomas wore. The hoodie that Justin Thomas wore was form fitting and did not look out of place, JT still looked very professional. Women’s golf attire has become more relaxed as well. While I would not wear a nice hoodie, like JT’s, I wouldn’t fault someone else for wearing them.

Doesn't really matter to me what you wear, just don't play slow. Yes there are course's where you should dress respectful. Their long histories and prestige deserve it. Most course's I say be comfortable. Just a point, the collar tiger wears was sold to us as a razor collar. I think FJ should market their t-shirts as having a "circular" collar.

Not a fan of the hoodie look on the golf course. I’m also not a fan of the collarless shirt that the swoosh sponsored players wear.
  7. I think in the interest of gaining more youngsters to the sport we have to lighten up a little. No-one said much about Tiger having a no color shirt nor should there be an issue with JT.

I play at our local muni and I take pride in what I wear. Unfortunately there seems to be a stigma that goes with the word muni. It is a public course where everyone one is welcome, regardless how you dress or how you play. How I dress when I leave the house is something that was instilled in me as a child growing up in the south. I am a traditionalist and prefer the clean look and well coordinated golf attire. I like the FJ look and my closet if full of their lines. They fit well and I get lots of compliments. I play in a seniors league and you never know what some of them will show up in. Seniors have an excuse. Style is expressing yourself through what you wear, good or bad, who is to say. You are what you wear, so wear it well, with caution, because someone is going to be judging you. We are in a society of first impressions. At least we seniors are not looking for a job on the golf course. With respect. Hakuna matata!
  9. Not a fan of t shirts or “work out” gear; and NO jeans, ever, period. Gentlemen’s game? Absolutely! We need to keep some traditions alive. I agree with the post above; take off your hat and shake hands. I am in the middle on this dress code issue, but I think golf is too. The golf attire now is extremely comfortable (dry fit and light weight pants) and in my opinion still looks professional and classy. As far as JTs hoodie, I think outerwear gets a pass. let’s face it stocking caps and rain gear are not all that attractive either. Like anything else to be successful you need to evolve. As a father of a 12 year old golfer it’s my job to teach him the past and he shows me the future. We keep each other in check. For many years I would say “dude you’re not wearing that to the course”, now he’s the one telling me “dad don’t wear that”. Golf courses are closing all the time because it doesn’t appeal to enough people anymore. If we are too rigid and don’t change with times the game we all love will eventually fade away. You can look good and be comfortable at the same time, but please tuck in your shirt and wear a belt
