    What's the best way of consistenely controlling distance on high spin short chip shots?

    My wedge shots tend to spin back and to the left sometimes when landing on the green. Occasionally the spin to the left will be very exaggerated (right handed golfer). Is this a result of my swing path or caused by the position of the clubface at impact?

    I have recently had a problem shanking 40-60 yard uphill wedge shots. I can’t practice them at our range (no hills). Any suggestions?

    Gentlemen,

    I've been searching for a chipping technique that will help to lower my scores. I've lost confidence in my ability to hit chips solid. I know most of it is in my head. Please help!

    Ok, here's one for you - recently, out of nowhere, I started experiencing the deadly s word in my irons and chipping. Managed to correct the irons except for now bunker play, where I have become tentative, or I blade one into the face. Still a work in progress, but any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

    How can I determine how far my ball will go out of a greenside bunker ? Is it lengthens of backswing or speed of the strike or position of club face?

    I am currently using a standard wedge and a Vokey 52 oil can and a 355-13 55 completing my wedges. I’m thinking of replacing my standard 45 with a Vokey wedge. Should I go with a 46 or maybe think about going with a 48?

    If I play only one wedge and it’s a 56, should I go more or less bounce? I usually play low bounce, just wondering if higher bounce, specially from out of the sand, would be beneficial.

    Struggling with getting height on my bunkers shots. Contact is fairly consistent, just not able to hit the high soft bunker shot anymore, any suggestions?

    How do players control spin on their wedge shots? I’ve read many things about moving ball position, altering path; but have never come away with a genuine answer that I could incorporate into practice. This may just be a player dependent item, but thought I’d pose the question.

    I'm a 78 y/o gent. My biggest concern with my wedges is that I want to learn how to hit "penetrating" shots. For example, I hit my 50* gap wedge approx 60 yds with an easy swing. If I try to step on it to get 70-75, all it does is balloon for the same 60 yds. Actually, I have the same issue with all my shorter irons, ie 8 - SW.

    The end of the golf season is rapidly approaching here in Utah. The beginning of the season is the roughest on my short game. Are there any drills that I can perform in my garage or indoors to help keep a semblance of touch for the new season?

    Why does it always seem I hit the ground first on pitch shots around the green?

    It seems like my biggest issue with chipping is the tendency to look up to see where the ball is going and in doing so, will either hit it fat or thin or decel. What do you see that can help eliminate this tendency?

    Can you explain bounce, what it means and how you need different bounce angles for different types of shots.

    I am ok about saving from the sand right around the greens; however, what is the proper technique for a longer shot from the sand? Not so much from like a fairway bunker, but a bunker 20-30 yards from the green.
