I live in the Hudson Valley in NY. Our group will play pretty much year round if we can find an open course and we haven't been inundated with the white stuff, or if it is so cold you can't compress the ball, even if you are swinging a sledge.

From December 21 2019-March 21 2020 I played 63 rounds here in the mid-Atlantic, most of which took place in temps between 35 and 55 degrees. Then the Covid shutdown hit and ruined any realistic shot I had to reach at least 200 rounds again this year.

I enjoy playing in the winter as long as there is no snow....or strong wind. 35 degrees, sunny, with no wind can be ideal. However, I should not say that too loudly. I don't want to entice too many to play in winter. I love when the course seems like it's all mine. Go ahead, call me selfish.

I have a full cart enclosure cover and a propane heater, so only having to step out to make my shots and putt is not really all that bad.

Same here in Ohio. 35, sunny, no wind, no snow, we go. Luckily my course is one of the only ones that opens on beautiful days in the winter.

I know what you mean Alex. Here in San Diego I sometimes have to pull out the long sleeve shirts. Terrible.

I look forward to the local TT event in SD - there are limits when the ground freezes more than a foot deep in Wisconsin. The yards after the carry are awesome but difficult to judge how far to land before the green. If snow covered, many courses open for cross country skiing.

Today was only autumn here in Wirral and we ranged from horizontal rain through blustery showers to hailstones and full circle to rainbows and sunshine. I finished the round with a wind-blasted face and chapped fingers.
Thank goodness for a StaDry bag.

As long as it is over 50 degrees I will be out there! Plenty of good days in the winter...

We can play pretty much year round here in North Carolina. It does get pretty chilly in January and February. When it gets down in the thirties I'll just layer up and keep playing. The good thing is that there is practically no one else there.

Oh for sure! In fact, the picture for my avatar is of me playing a winter round back home.

Golf is never the same nor perfect. There is always something that you may have to do differently to have it if you really want it. But I'm lucky that I do and can still go out and play during the winter time although I'm not a fan of the windy cold conditions. I go out and play in it though.

Makes me think of beer. I order cold beer in the summer, and I also order a cold beer in the winter. Not sure if that makes much sense in relation to your question, but it came to mind :-)

I’m in California Los Angeles so yeah are winter is pretty much 70 68 degrees so yeah all the time lol

Fifty two weeks a year........live on the coast of S Carolina......we might have three to four weeks of actual real cold winter.......I remember one year when we had one real bad year......1989, Hurricane Hugo, 9 inches of snow that Christmas and an earthquake around the first of the new year. In this part of the woods, of sandy beaches, that is something you remember.......one of the reasons we live here and more people are moving here......but love all the courses across the Atlantic......

winter golf is tough in the north east here in the states, but once in a while we'll get some decent days. Head out for a nice 9 hole lap somewhere. Keeps the dream alive until spring comes!

If the course is open, it's a good day to play. Growing up in western NY, cold weather doesn't deter my desire to play golf. It's helps on down in NC now tho!

I can play usually every month of the year. The 3 months that are tough to pay are December, January & February because of wind & temps and the white stuff or the ice stuff.

40 degrees is kind of my limit with little wind, highs in the upper 30's don't interest me. But we play in 15-25 mph winds with gusts up to 40 a lot here in Kansas. just not in colder temps

We play all winter long here at the Jersey Shore, as long as we're open. Frozen greens bring different approach shots. Layer up, a shot of brandy, and play on.

Golf in SE Texas is pretty much year around, with few exceptions. We will get a couple of frost delays and layer up for those colder, windy days, but golf is good regardless of the weather.

Here in the Northeast I'll play anytime if it's above 40 degrees depending on the wind. Played on New Years Day a few years back with temps in the mid 70s. Very rare for sure

Non stop here in the North East of England
We head for the coast and links golf if the inland courses have snow, ice or frost and they can get very wet
But links courses drain well and the salt air from the North Sea keeps the frost at bay
I and my partners only have to travel ten miles or so and we have the best of all worlds
The wind, however, coming off the sea is always a challenge at this time! Very strong and very cold....

If I can get a buddy to go I will play. I went out on 28 degree weather with a 15 mph wind. Who knows how many more rounds we have left.
