  1. What type of titleist ball to use in cold weather vs. warm weather and windy days vs calm days.
  2. I think instruction regarding course management would be very beneficial - tailored to different ability levels. The importance of it is greatly under-valued by the average player. For players lacking this knowledge, it is a relatively easy way to lower their scores.

while there are many areas to select from like, i.e. how to hit a side hill lie, i would love to know more about the process it takes to become a club fitter. How long does it take for one to become a fitter for Titleist and how do they know after me hitting a few shots or so, that this club with this loft/lie angle is best for me, especially when there’s so many options to chose from. Are they the ones that also do the ball fittings and even picking out the right ball for the player. How much studying do they have to do on every type of club, etc?

How about a more indepth study of how Titleist designs and develops new clubs (eg TSi) (with nothing proprietary disclosed of course)?

  6. Hi Allan,

Ball construction seems to have taken on a life of it's own! With sites like MyGolfSpy going to considerable lengths to explore manufacturing issues, Specifically, there has been a lot written about off-center cores and the impact on performance, from cutting them open to float testing them in Epsom salts! I'd like to know a couple of things:

    1. How do Titleist ensure the core of a ball like the ProV1X or -ProV1X is centered during the manufacturing process?
    2. Have you done any testing with deliberately off-center balls and been able to demonstrate a performance change? (Similar to your 1/2dimpled ball demo)
    3. Have you looked at using materials of the same density, but different shore hardnesses to mitigate the impact of an off-centered core?
    4. As a 8hcp golfer, should I care? Would I even notice a difference given the overriding influence on flight is my delivery of the club face? i.e., It's the archer not the arrow.

P.S., If selected, could you stretch to the left dash V1x? I switched to the -ProV1X from a competitor, with my 1st round with the left dash ball I shot even-par 72 for the 1st time ever! So I'm kinda committed to it now!

    Thanks, Dan

Advantages / disadvantages of changing the length of clubs and how the swing weight is effected. Also, how Titleist clubmakers correct swing weight changes.
