The wait is over, Team Titleist! The all-new Pro V1 and Pro V1x are now available for pre-order and will start popping up on golf shop shelves as early as January 27th.

With many of you testing 2021 Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls as early as October of last year, this thread is for you to share your valuable feedback with the wider community. There have already been dozens of reviews throughout our discussion boards which we will be pulling into this official review thread, so no need to leave an additional review if you have done so already.

Lastly, all feedback is welcomed and encouraged. If you purchased a 2021 Pro V1 or Pro V1x, we would love to hear from you as well!

Thank you for your contributions and enjoy!

  2. I received a sleeve of test Pro Vx1's just before Xmas. It's summer here in Australia so the courses are all nice and dry. These balls seem to spin a bit more than the previous models. I like the feel of them when I'm putting, which is a big factor for me when I'm selecting a golf ball. I've got an old Scotty Cameron Santa Fe putter with the Teryllum face so I don't like balls that are too soft.

I've only played 27 holes with them so far but I feel like they travel a bit farther, but it was windy the other day so it's hard to judge what was the ball and what was wind adding to my distance off the tee. I'll have a a better feel after this weekend.

Like all balls, they still don't float. I put 1 into a lake.

Thanks Allan. Was fortunate enough to get a few during the Team Titleist Invitational. I was already a ProV1x guy and the new version seems even better to me. I had always struggled with the firmer feel coming from years playing the regular ProV1. This latest 2021 ProV1x does feel softer, especially on putts which is where i noticed it most. Good work by the ball engineers developing a softer feel while keeping the high flight and spin characteristics of the last version.

With the same opportunity as Dale, the new X felt felt softer than before. I took them to a fitting. The X wasn’t longer than the V but had more stopping power with more spin. The amber X will be on my spring shopping list. Still, each should see which one suits their game.

I've been playing the new version of the 1x since the TTI at Bandon Dunes. Love the flight characteristics and the feel. Makes it tough to go back and use all my remaining 2019 version balls.

Just got a sleeve of 2021 Pro V1. What a great ball had to go out to the course and practice with them on the putting green and chipping green. Reliable just like Titleist. Fantastic feel on the putting green perfect sound and soft feel. When chipping reliable and can generate spin on 40 yrs shots to stop the ball next to the hole. Excellent ball. Have been playing the ProV1x left dash lately and looks like going back to the ProV1. Perfect golf ball and like the new side stamp.

  8. Just played today with the new 2021 ProV1. All of the boxes for flight and performance were checked as one would expect with the ProV1. I was able to hit 8/9 fairways with today’s round, the one I missed was due to me trying to cut a corner (can’t blame a ball for flying into a tree I aimed it at). I usually hit a fade but also noticed the ball held its line well even on some miss hits towards the toe, what would’ve been a push held on and didn’t fade off the right as much with the 2021 ProV1 vs previous versions. Where I noticed the biggest difference was around the green, the ball checked up and sat well when chipping onto greens. This combined with the soft feel and pure roll while putting that I have come to expect with the ProV1 made me a very happy camper. All in all, can’t wait to get my hands on boxes whenever they are in store!

  9. Thank you Titleist for the opportunity to test out the new 2021 ProV1 ball. Luckily I’ve been taking weekly lessons in the winter (CT) so I was able to test these immediately. I’ve also been able to compare to the 2019 ProV1. New version feels softer off the putter and great feel off the irons. Off my Driver, it didn’t have the distance i get with the X. I’ve been leaning toward the X recently to get the most distance and more firm off the putter. Luckily my coach had a new ProV1x I could compare during my lesson and it was definitely longer for me. And I like the click off the putter better in the X. It was so great to be a part of this and I appreciate Titleist sending me this white box (love when I get the FedEx notification). If you need additional feedback, please let me know. Thanks again.

First of all THANK YOU Team Titleist for the opportunity to try these new ProV1 Balls. It is an honor. I have been able to play a couple of rounds with the new ball versus the old ball and I can honestly say that i felt a real difference in the two. As great as the Prov1 has always been, in my opinion, I think the new ball is just a bit better. I felt like I had more control around the greens. I could control the spin a bit more and the feel off the putter was just second to none.
I also felt like I was able to control the trajectory of the ball off my long and mid irons more. Off the driver and 3 wood, the new ball just had a more crisp feel to me.
I have always played Titleist balls and I've never been disappointed and I am certainly not this time either. Just when you think that the ball cannot get any better.
Thank You so much for the opportunity to try the new ball. It was a great experience.

I got a surprise on my doorstep a couple days ago. I got to test the new Pro V1 balls. They are a little softer feeling than the last model. They have great spin around the green. It was one hop and stop from 40-50 yards. They seem longer off of the driver and perform well in the wind.

FEDEX delivered a sleeve of Prov1s yesterday. My wife asked what I had ordered from Titleist this time. Thought it was funny. Told her I got a free sleeve of the 2021 balls to test and said, cool. Played one today. Like the feel off the driver and the distance. Picked up a few yards. Has a good feel on the putting green. Need to put a another round of two with the new ball. Will evaluate as I continue to play the sleeve. Kudos to Team Titleist staff and Jeanne Couture for expediting them to TT loyalists. Will miss picking up the new sample balls at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando this year. Thank you.

The New 2021 Titleist ProV1x is better than the balls before it. It is great in the wind, has superior stopping action. This is the best model than in past years. The durability is incredible along with the Titleist TSi3, it is an incredible match of ball and club. Also I am using the ProV1x with a WedgeWorks 60 T and it is a perfect marriage. The weather was cold but the ball still performed well considering the cold temp. Titleist golf balls are way ahead of the curve, it competitors don't have a chance. The ball performed well with every club in the bag! Keep up the great work, to me there is no other ball on the market that holds a match to the new 2021 ProV1 family!
  14. I played yesterday with the new Prov1x, and birdied the first hole. The ball was very good. Long and straight. Stopped very well. I don't know that I have ever controlled a ball any more than I did yesterday. It goes, and it stops. I don't know if I could ask more from a ball. Thanks.

Thank you Titleist, I got my sleeve of 2021 Pro V1's last Thursday 1/7/21 & was able to get 2 rounds in before our weather is going to cool back into the low 40's for a high.

I did my testing with my 915D2 driver because I have not played a round of golf with my new Tsi2 driver & I wanted the results to mirror something I already knew as far as feel & distance of my current ball I play.

    2021 Pro V1 Testing:
    1st round 52 degrees 15 mph wind
    2nd round 54 degrees 10-15 mph wind
    Equipment 915 D2, 915F, 816H1, T200 Irons, SM7 wedges & SC Newport 2.5

I liked the ball flight both off the tee & with my mid irons. It looked a bit lower than my current model(s) I play.
Still has that soft feel at impact I'm accustom to with my current (2017/2019 model) Pro V1's. Hit some close shots from 135 yards that made me feel good, but I also would drop a ball once in awhile to switch clubs to see how the ball flight changed.

I actually did some chipping practice with them 2 other days to better see how they felt & reacted. Seemed to check up more even on the cold firmer greens we have right now. (SM7 Vokey Wedges)

On the course they reacted very well on full wedge & chipping shots. Seem to spin a bit more on both than what I've seen recently from the same areas in the past.

Putting was still soft and true rolling which I expected.

I hit multiple shots from different spots on every hole, including hybrids & fairways. All in all it looked and felt like what I am used to with the exception of off the tee & mid to upper irons a lower more piercing ball flight to me.

I lost 1 during my testing & my photos didn't download properly so I posted without them....sorry I know it said 3 photos..

I think I'll be getting these when the loyalty program comes around & wouldn't hesitate to put them in play. It took me almost 2 years to like the 2017 ball. but this one I love from the start.

Thank you once again for sending me a sleeve.

I got my sleeve last week, and that was an incredibly welcome surprise! Thanks Titleist! I would say the new ball preforms exceptionally well. The green side spin seemed to be turned up a notch and from the sand I was able to get quite a bit of English on the ball. From the driver it felt good. I think I noticed some distance gains as well. Off the irons it felt really soft and it had a great trajectory to it. I really enjoyed playing them and I’ll certainly look forward to purchasing them soon!
  17. First off I just want to say thank you so much for giving me this opportunity! I couldn't be happier, it was a nice surprise! . Now to the ball.

I played my whole round with the one ball. Every now and then I would hit my older model to compare it. Very similar off the driver, not much difference at all . The 2021 Felt a bit softer off the face of my irons, but gave me the same predictable ball flight I need and am used to. Where I noticed the biggest difference was with the putter, felt softer, but on pitch shots I felt it checked up better than the previous model. Was holding greens very well! I also felt the durability has improved, lasted all 18 with it and still looks great, not much scuffing even with wedges .All in all, a great ball that will continue to be the best out there .

Got the sleeve of PV1 yesterday, actually had a round scheduled for today. Off the driver, they felt solid. Ball flight seemed a little lower than the AVX, which is what I’ve been using lately. Distance wise, the carry felt a slightly less, but with the lower ball flight it rolled out nicely. In some cases, the roll-out was a little too much and I found myself in a fairway bunker.

Hard to comment on most irons (5-9) because my iron play was generally off today. When I made some decent shots from the fairway, seemed like there was a little less spin as the ball came out lower and rolled out on the green. Feel was nice. Wedge play was OK today and the ball stopped nicely

Off the putter felt a lot like the AVX. Ironically, when I first got the balls they reminded me a little of the 1st gen AVX. The durability was quite nice. Number 16 at our course has a waste bunker the entire left side. It is pretty tough sand, fine rocks. Usually when you hit here, especially with low shots, that’s the end of the day for the ball. However, this ball held up nicely and didn’t have any scuffs.

For me: BEST: durability. WORST: lower then expected ball flight leading to more than expected roll-out.

I do wish I played a little better and had crisper irons shots today.

I received my sleeve of V1x's on Saturday (9th) and was able to compare the 2021 with the 2019 version (both V1x & V1). The 21 V1x felt slightly softer than the 19 V1x (more like the 19 V1) and as expected rolled really well. We had a couple nice days on Tuesday & Wednesday, so I was out on the course Wednesday putting the new V1x in play. Really hard to tell if performance is better since if was cool (46 at tee time) and breezy. First few greens were hard, so not much stopping power (they bounce well though). Back 9 everything was thawed and ball was really checking. Putting was good, but greens were really slow. The ball held it's line really well in 10mph crosswinds. Overall, really pleased with the new version and will be picking some up (optic yellow) when they are available.

Played yesterday with my 2021 Pro V1 test balls. Good results with no complaints; however, the outer cover does seem to be ever so slightly softer and a little more subject to damage from nicks...maybe just my imagination.

Thanks to Titleist again for the generous gift.

Agreed, the balls are amazing but I'm seeing a little more damage than usual to the outer layer. I'm not even playing with sharp grooves.

I got my new ProV1 test balls today. It was nice outside, so I took them out to my par 3 in my back yard. Hit some pitches, chips, putted with them. Very nice feel, checked up nicely, very responsive. They felt great off the putter, a little softer than previous Prov1 models. So far I am impressed.

I was one of lucky ones to receive both Pro V1 and V1x white boxes at the Bandon Dunes TT event. I decided to try a test yesterday against the current version using my launch monitor. My test consisted of hitting 10 shots with each ball using 3 different clubs (wedge 60 degree, 7 iron and driver). Total of 120 shots, I then took the 3 best shots with each ball and then averaged the stats together. While my 7 iron and driver stats were pretty close between all the balls there was significant difference with my wedge both in spin rate and distance. I currently play with Pro V1 and needless to say I will be switching to the Pro V1x after looking at the results from my little test.
