Received a sleeve of the ProV1x balls earlier in January. Packed them for a weekend trip to Pinehurst over MLK weekend. Used one #2. Weather was cloudy and cold (high 40s at the first tee, mid 30s by 18). Ball was similar off the tee and hybrids as the previous version of the ProV1x. Ball seemed to spin more off of the irons and wedges than I was used to. REALLY noticed it off of the wedges (which was a good thing on #2). Felt confident striking it with wedges around the green as I knew it would check. Hit a chip on the 8th hole that did a one hop and drop. Knew when I hit it that it was spinning well. Gave me confidence over the rest of the round. Ball did not show any appreciable signs of wear and I did hit some trees.

Will definitely buy the new ProV1x when it is released. Another great ball by Titleist

I had the honor to test the new PRO-V1 so wanted to leave some feedback. I wanted to discuss feel, workability and performance from tee to green. From the tee box it felt absolutely solid off the face with great launch with TSi driver, Fairway and U500 4 iron. They felt great on mid irons into greens with plenty of spin to hit and stick on dormant winter greens. Around the green they were very workable and soft enough for those delicate touch shots to tight pin location.

This was my ball after 1 round, 18 holes of Golf. This ball was played from the tee box, fairway, bunker, and green. The ball held up well; It shows the dedication Titleist has in their products. Realistically, I could play this specific ball for another 2-3 rounds personally. The new Prov1x flies off the face, and makes me confident from all shots. Thank you for sending me a sleeve of the new 2021 Prov1x, and will definitely keep playing the #1 ball in Golf.

Beautiful day about 70 degrees and sunny. This ball feels very soft from tee to green.
Not to much spin and you can control it on approach shots. The distance is great and consistent. Great ball over all

Hey TT, i couldnt find the thread they mentioned to drop the review in so i hope its good here.
I was able to get out on Monday, I played 9 holes with the 2020 prov1 then switched to the 2021 version on the back. I did notice a few subtle differences. Ill start with coming off the driver i felt it had more pop off the face of the driver and irons. I will say i feel the workability was so close i will need more time to play shots between the two before i can decide. I saw a big improvement around the greens with spin being the biggest difference i was able spin it more but again im going to need more time. Now off the putter i was impressed mostly because i love the feel of the pro v, On the new 2021 i feel like the ball feels softer but much more durable.
Attached you'll see a pic of the only mark on the ball after 9 holes. I was very impressed being that i used a brand new Sm8 60 with freshie grooves, Ball held up much better than i expected, I have an issue with chewing up balls with the wedge.
All in all a great ball just got better. I look forward to gaming in 2021.

I wasn't sure if It was the thin air today or the ball, but the ball went 5-8 yards further than I normally hit it!

Received mine last weekend. A sleeve of the new 2021 Pro V1x. I was last fitted into the Titleist Pro V1 about four years ago. It was a close call between the Pro V1 and Pro V1x. Even though I'm now 62 I've made some swing and swing speed improvements in the interim. I'm a scratch player with a swing speed in the mid-90s. I'm not one to get too excited about new balls. While the original Pro V1 was a revolution, most new balls, even Pro V1 and Pro V1x demonstrate small incremental improvements at best. Prior to this ball, the biggest change I've seen from the original Pro V1 is the durability of the cover and some increased spin around the greens.

    Then these arrived.

I got out for a round yesterday with these new balls. With every shot the ball was flying higher and longer than with my 2020 Titleist Pro V1. On average, 20-30 yards longer with driver. I was finding myself in places I seldom, if every had been. At first I thought it was a fluke. But this occurred though the whole round, and not just with driver. I was seeing the same (proportionally of course) with every club through my bag. It was a windy day, so I also got to see how the wind affected the ball. It did of course. But it was predictable and I hit 13 of 14 FIR and 14 GIRs. I played the whole round with one ball and the cover still looks great.

Now I'm not saying everyone is going to see results like this. I realize golf ball fitting is a real thing and that a ball that is optimal for one golfer won't necessarily be optimal for another. But these are great balls. If there is a lesson here so far it's this. If it's been awhile since you've been fitted, try out these two balls. They are high quality balls and you might be surprised like me.

I plan more testing of course, and in fact can't wait to do so.

I was also fortunate enough to be chosen for testing new ProV1x and here are my initial impressions after 9 hole round. I was wayward with several drives and the sidespin was mitigated with ProV1x. This ball always performs with iron shots, never any doubt, always predictable. The wedge spin was also good on well struck shots. The durability was exactly what I've come to expect, lasted entire round and ready to go again. I'm still wanting more time to assess with putting.

  9. Was fortunate enough to get 3 rounds in with the 2021 Pro Vx balls in some really windy conditions as well as some fairly mild conditions here in So Cal.

My equipment for a reference perspective:

    Driver: Titleist 915 D3 8.5 Diamana White X
    3 & 5 Wood: Titleist TS3 with Diamana White X
    Irons: Titleist 660 3-PW Dynamic Gold X-100
    Wedges: Vokey SM7 54M & 60M
    Putter: Scotty Cameron Newport Select

My first round was in pretty mild conditions and I noticed the new X flew a little higher for me. It did not balloon, but was a touch higher. My irons held their line perfectly and the wedges seemed to have a fraction more bite on them. The feel off the putter was crisp and felt like it melted into the face. Wasn’t to mushy, but very soft and crisp.
My next 2 rounds were in very windy conditions. The new X held its line really well. It felt like I could flight it down anytime I needed to. The flight on my irons was excellent and my wedges were able to flight it at will. I do think it has a slightly more penetrating flight thru the wind than the previous model. I would say overall my woods are approximately 3-5 yards longer.

I’m not a big fan of the word game changer or hyperbole in describing equipment, however this is a great ball. It literally does everything you need and the feedback is remarkable. This is definitely a ball that will be in my bag for the next few years.

    Well done Titleist

Received a box of Pro V1 2021. Thank you.

Played with one ball for three rounds. Very solid. Provided me with extra distance and felt good coming off the club. I don't spin the ball very well, so I cannot comment on that. Obviously it is durable and proves my choice of the Pro V1 and Pro V1x is still the best ball for me.

Got the sleeve about a week ago. What a great surprise. I was able to go out on Monday and play a round. Temperatures were in the lower 50s, so not a bad day for January. I used the previous model of the Pro V1 on the front 9 and was getting the typical, quality performance from the ball.

I switched to the new ball on the back 9. The ball did feel like it jumped off the club face. Had a solid feel from tee to green, but I wouldn't say that I had a substantial gain in distance with the metals or irons. Maybe a couple of yards? My carry distance may have been better as I thinking about it. Ironically, the ball did seem hotter off the putter face. But I could have just been excited to roll it on the greens. I do like the durability of the ball. I didn't see any blemishes from the 9 holes that I played with the ball.

All that said, I'll be happy to get out and try the other two Pro V1s in the sleeve this weekend. Not sure this evaluation helped much...definitely need some more rounds to determine.

Just got my new Pro-V1 balls in the mail the other day. Took them out to the course and tried them around the greens and from 40 yard wedges. There was a lot more spin than I was used to, which is a great thing. The ball stopped exactly where I wanted it to. It felt softer off of the face as well. On the green, it felt springy off of the putter, rather than the thump of the other balls. All in all, I am very excited about the new 2021 Pro-V1 golf balls. Thank you so much for letting me participate in the testing Team Titleist!!! I am looking forward to buying these in the store soon!!

I live in Kansas. I love this new golf ball! It did very well in the wind and the spin around the greens was great! I can’t wait to buy a couple of dozen. Thank you Titleist!
  14. Thank you, it was a nice surprise to have received a sleeve of the Pro V1 2021 a few weeks ago

Played 2 rounds with them and i must say very impressed. My Drives felt good coming of the club and enjoyed watching my ball flight from the tee. the ball felt soft on the putting greens as well and enjoyed the feel coming off the putter face. I'm not one that spins the ball very well either so I really can't say much for spin, but the few times that i did hit solid wedge shots, I did see the ball land and spin a little for me which i enjoyed watching =). The feel and durability of the ball was quite a surprise and looking foward to buying some custom boxes in the near future.

    Thank you again!

Love, love, love these! The feel, not only in my hand taking them out of the box, the feel when they kiss the face of my clubs, especially my putter, but most importantly, the feel in my mind that I have, without doubt or reservation, the best ball in golf. There are not enough PROV's in the world for me. Thanks to Mike, Rick, Allan and the entire Titleist team for once again, bringing the world the #1 Ball in Golf!

4th round with the new ProV1x and still on the first ball out of the sleeve. All I can say is You've done it again. Better every time! Thank You!
  17. I was very pleasantly surprised the other day when going to work to see a small package from Acushnet sitting on the front porch! I appreciate the opportunity to test these new Pro V1s very much, I just wish I didn't live in Michigan where it's a little too cold to properly test them right now lol. I supposed I could have taken them and my Scotty out ice fishing and putted into a hole cut with my auger lol. I have putted with them a bit in my basement and I love the way they feel. Thanks again!

    ProV1.

First test Day 1 elevation 70 ft above sea level and 35% humidity with winds between 14 and 23 mph and gusts between 22 and 35 mph....yes I was crazy that day. My biggest impression was the control of the ball flight even in that wind. What I lost in distance this day I made up in control on/around the green. I look forward to my next round in different conditions for further testing but would say if you live somewhere it natural blows all the time this might be your option.

I had the opportunity to try the new Pro V1 as part of Team Titleist. I really hate to say this but I didn't see a lot of significant changes in ball performance. While the new Pro V1 hit further off the tee than several other brands I have tried, it wasn't by much. Maybe it is my swing speed (just about 105mph) but the Titleist Tour Speed performed better for my game. However, Titleist is still the best ball on the market and I'm sure it will do just fine in terms of sales and performance versus other major OEMs new 2021 models. Overall, I would recommend the ball to any Pro V1 fan but I don't plan to switch from the Tour Speed at this time.

  20. Hello Team Titleist members. I was lucky enough to receive a “white box” in the mail. Total surprise, made my day. I live in Michigan so between everything being closed down due to COVID-19 and winter I’m sorry that I can’t give you the review that I would like to. I have been able to hit in my basement as I have a nice setup. Without numbers all I can give you is feel and they (ProV1) are softer and maybe “hotter” than the last version but I assure you that they feel outstanding.
Thank you to Titleist for this opportunity.
