I love them they stick to the club-face and I produce a bit more spin than the previous pro v1x. I feel that I can control the ball and hit high, mid, and low shots which are what I like to see in a ball. The thing I love the most is the spin control, I can hit a shot with a lot of spins and just spin it so far back, but I can also let it roll out. Overall an amazing ball Titlist you never cease to impress me.

after hitting both the new v1 and v1x i feel that the new covers have a bit more durability than the previous ones. i only had a chance to play them in the sim as it's winter here, but the numbers were great on both (though i tend towards the v1x), the durability of both i believe is improved. the tragedy of hitting into a sim is that you play so often the balls simply wear out (and the monitor can't track them properly). these new versions certainly did better than previous versions have. this bodes will for use on the course as you don't want to be playing a scuffed ball.


nice work Titleist, i'm not 100% sure the new v1x will get me off my left dash, but these are a great ball for sure.

Thank you, Team Titleist. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be a tester of the 2021 ProV1s. I got a sleeve in the mail, and I got to test them on Sunday. They feel soft off the putter, and under 100 yards, the control and spin are spot on. I've read some feedback from other TT members who claim the cover is not as durable as the previous ProV1; however, I only compared it to the current ball I've been playing which is the Tour Soft. My verdict is that I will definitely switch to the ProV1s as soon as I get rid of the last three sleeves of Tour Soft. Thank you once again for the opportunity, Team Titleist :)

I was fortunate enough to receive a sleeve of the 2021 Pro V1x golf balls earlier this week and I could not wait to get them out on the course this weekend. I only had time to play 9 holes over the weekend, but I could not have been more impressed with the performance of these golf balls. Below is a list of Pros and cons from my round with the new Pro V1x.

Pros:
I was really impressed with how soft the ball felt but, managed to not be too “spinny” especially with my driver. For comparison I won a box of the Bridgestone Tour B X in a golf tournament and have been playing those recently and while the ball has great spin characteristics of the driver it feels like I am hitting a rock everywhere else.

The green side feel and performance of these are second to none. I was able to get the ball to check up with great consistence around the green and I loved the soft feel off the putter.

From 150 yards and in the ball would stop on a dime and spin back a little, but never felt like the spin was out of control which is exactly what I look for in a golf ball.

One of the most impressive things about these golf balls was how durable they are. I played all nine holes with the same golf ball (not to brag, but that is pretty good for me) and the ball showed very minimal signs of wear. I hit it out of a couple of bunkers and even sent though an oak tree and the ball only had 2 small scuffs (see photos).

I shot a 3 over 39 while using these golf balls which solid for a 12 handicapper like myself and the ball was the only equipment that I had changed. Using that logic Titleist should advertise that these golf balls can reduce your handicap by 6 strokes haha.

Cons:
The only thing I can think to put as a con is that I only have one sleeve to use until these hit the shelves!

I finally were able to test/play the new ball in a white box yesterday in a nice 70 degree weather for a round and all I can add to say is that Titleist has done another great job and I cannot wait to order my years’ supply.
The one best part of all is the added confidence that I am playing Titleist’s ProV1. That right there is enough to give my self a chance to play better without worries- the ball will react and pair up with the work I’ve put in.

Just received my Pro V1 test balls. It is hard to believe that Titleist can keep improving this product, but they do.

I received my sleeve of Pro V1-X balls 2 weeks ago. I just played my first few rounds with the new balls and they seem to have a slightly different feel from the previous generation ball. It seems like they launch slightly higher with a more parabolic penetrating flight giving me just that little bit of extra distance. Around the green they seem to perform exactly like the last generation ball which is to say, exceptionally! I have played Titleist golf balls since childhood (I am 67 years old so I have a lot of experience with Titleist balls) and they have never let me down. Keep up the good work and thanks so much for giving me the opportunity to try out and comment on the New Pro V1-X balls. I look forward to my next Team Titleist trial!

Thank you Team Titleist for the white box test sleeve of 2021 Pro V1 golf balls. So privileged to be part of the selected few. The new balls felt familiar, yet different at the same time. A bit more refined, but there’s no mistaken it’s a Pro V. It somehow knows when to spin and when not to spin. The dispersion off the tee is tighter, keeping misses still in play. They seem to carry a bit longer off the driver too. So much so that I unfortunately lost one into the hazard that was not really in play in the past. Around the greens it bites like it have shark teeth or something. All around very impressed with the tremendous engineering that went into them. The development team had an impossible task of improving on perfection, yet somehow they managed once again and outdid themselves.

Played yesterday and tested out the new balls on the course.
They are awesome!!! Distance...Feel...Spin all were amazing!!!
These balls absolutely perfect!!! Can't wait to get some more soon!!!
I gave my son the balls after nine holes...he plans on playing them in a tournament next weekend!!!

My review of the new ProV1 from the white box test balls:

1. Playability - was easy to flight the ball up and down and curve at will. Great feel on contact with all clubs. I didn't see any huge distance or spin changes but overall still the best of anything that is out there!!

2. Durability - played about 30 holes with the ball pictured and clanged it around a little as it wasn't my best ball striking round (as evident by the cart path scar). Kept playing it and it didn't affect playability at all.

3. Sound - the biggest difference for me? THE SOUND!! You could hear actual compression and the normal golf ball sound when paired with my TSi3 that was missing. Other balls (including last year's model) sounded a lot like tinny cracking than the traditional sound made when you smoke one! This ball has it all now...I even rotated in a yellow TM TP5x just to see if I was nuts and I wasn't.

OVERALL - winner as usual Titleist!! Would play this ball all day every day...now to choose between this and the ProV1x when I can get those new.

I received the Prov1's last week and took them out for a test drive yesterday. Weather was about 10 degrees above normal, mid 60's to 70 degrees and the course I played is a bit worn out from a long season of play, but is pretty tight fairways and a lot of rolling hills and sloping greens. Fairways dormant and dry so the ball gets a little more travel, but the greens were great.
I am considered a senior player limited to mostly weekends, who should be retired by now, and still think I can play like I did back 20 years ago, and a low 15 to low 16 handicap. My typical game is 12 to 13 holes of great golf, a few sloppy holes, and one big blowout on the front and one on the back. I do not know much about the construction of balls, and do not pay much attention to the claims of how they feel or play, but normally I play a softer ball like the Tour Soft, Tour B RX, Velocity, Chomesoft, etc. and if I have a day where I get through a sleeve of balls, I turn to what's left in the bag or what I have picked up. By doing that, you can actually learn a lot about some of the other balls and how they react to your game. I do like playing the Prov1, and on advice from a gamer that I play with, I have played the Prov1x a few times as well, but really don't even know the difference between the 2.
I gave the new balls a run, alternating with last years ProV1, a Tour Soft, a Chromesoft, and a TM TP5. All of them were new unplayed balls.
My personal experience was that first off, for some reason the Chromesoft just didn't work for me, and thankfully I lost it left in the trees about the 6th or 7th hole. Off the tee I seem to get a little more side spin with the new and older ProV1, but that is mostly a product of my swing. The Tour Soft and TP5 really felt great off the tee, and initial thought was they were my best drives, but once I was dialed in my best tee shots were by far with the previous version ProV1. On 4 holes I hit 2 off the tee for a straight up comparison with last years ProV1, twice with the new ProV1 and twice with the TP5, and all 8 were what I would consider great and straight tee shots for me but on every one I picked up the new ProV1 and TP5 on the way to last years ball. I was impressed!
I struggled all day with hybrid and long iron shots, but had my best shots with the new ProV1 and TP5. I hit some real rockets with them but just couldn't keep it down the middle. The TP5 felt best off the club face but they were matched for distance. I really wished I could keep it up the middle because I think I would have been shocked at how well I was hitting them.
I really liked the feel and performance of the new ProV1 around the green, and would rank it about equal with the Tour Soft for preference hitting into the green and for putting. I'm not good at all at getting any kind of backspin on the greens so I don't even try, but I was surprised by a few shots with the new ProV1 that actually hit and spun back. I pretended that I planned it, but my playing partners know better. Maybe I'm gonna have to work on that a bit more.
Overall I can see where a better player would favor the ProV1, new or old, and it does work for me in several situations. This is not the first time I have done comparisons off the tee with various brands of balls and the ProV1, know matter what year usually always ranks the best. When I'm having a great game, I think I might even prefer it over, and get better results than the softer balls I usually play with. I'm running out of years but if I ever develop more feel and ability to work the ball, I think I would be telling you it's the ball of choice for me.
Thanks to T.T. for the opportunity to give them a test run, but unfortunately, at my level and with my comparison, my choice would be last years ProV1. I'm interested to know what, if any, the difference is from this year and last year. And for those who prefer the new version, please feel free to send me any remaining of last years.

I finally had the opportunity to play in Texas (Southlake). Was a little chilly at tee off. Played the first 9 with my current ProV1x. Then used the new ProV1x on the back. The new ProV1x feels as good or better than the current model. Had a few iron shots into a club and a half wind which seemed to cut right through. I did notice three drives into the wind that jumped off the face. It felt like there was a little extra juice without trying to step on it. Spinning wedges from 90-100 and bunker shots were spot on. Was very pleased with how the first trial holes went and hope to play the entire 18 with it shortly.

I was fortunate to receive a white box of the ProV golf balls. While the weather to test was not ideal, I did go out a couple of days when the temps reached 45F-46F. The fairways were very soft as well as the greens.

Putting (Scotty Cameron Laguna) - The ProV has a soft feel when putting. Thought the "click" on the strike was a bit muted compared to the ProV1x. Speed control was not an issue on any putt (flat, uphill, down hill).

Chipping (Vokey 54/58) - Again, the ProV has a nice soft feel and had that same muted "click" when striking the ball. Distance control was very good and the ball would land, spin and stop as envisioned. Had no unexpected rollouts.

Irons (AP3) - The ProV felt really good coming off the clubface. No hard/harsh feeling on contact. No issues with my expectations on yardage/control. Full shots/half shots all felt solid. Solid shot would spin with little to no rollout (greens were soft). On half shots, the ball would spin much more and draw back.

Driver (TS2) - The ProV did feel softer than the ProV1X and it did show on the results. The ProV was slightly shorter on carry (avg) than I expected. I did check out the numbers on a Swing Caddie and the ball speed was down a few mph and the carry yardage reflected that (compared to Left Dash). I do tend to spin the ball more than I would like with the driver so I use the Left Dash ball quite a bit.

All in all it is a great ball. Has great feel and spin. No issue would stand out that I wouldn't feel confident using the ball in any match/competition.

I finally got to test out the ProV1s this past weekend. I found that these cut through the wind better than my 2019 ProV1s and felt a little bit softer off my woods & irons. I had a bit less spin with my SW/GW/LW but similar with my irons. Putting felt a bit softer. Great ball and these will be in my bag when they're released. Thank you TT

Had a chance to test the 2021 Pro V1 thanks to Titleist selecting me for the white box test.

Played a Golfweek Am Tour event at TPC Las Vegas Sat and Sunday this last weekend and used the 2021 Pro V1 and was impressed.

The ball had great flight off the tee with my TS3 8.5 degree driver and had good roll out. Approach shots had good spin but not too much. Hit several AP2 716 long irons in and held pretty fast Bermuda grass greens. Chips and pitches felt soft and had great spin. Was able to bump and run and hit high flops that held well. They pitted very well. Overall I liked them and am looking forward to them coming out in yellow.

I received the white box ProV1 and here is my review: Firm and Fast!

The ball feels great while maintaining a firm feel.

The look is still the classic ProV1, which I love. The arrow is a great alignment tool.

The distance and trajectory are great, with lower spin numbers throughout the bag.

My driver (Titleist TS4 picture below) yielded a 144 ball speed with 2900 spin and an average height of 90 ft.

3 wood (TS3) had spin rates of 3300.

My 2 iron (T-MB 2018) is a different club with this ball. I love the firm ball against the face. Its turned into a cannon!

Irons (T100-S 6 iron pictured below) had slightly lower spin numbers and trajectory, but super fast ball speed throughout, The trajectory was piercing and I gained some distance.

Wedges (SM8s) were good. The firm feel is really shining in the wedges.

Again, firm and fast!

Great job Titleist.

Played two rounds with new ProV1x next to 2019 model Not a big difference in playability but couple of things are apparent. Chips shots 30 yard punch shots, stop immediately on greens, sand shots bit hard. Putting seems to be softer than the old ball, very nice, made three first puts in a row, so roll nice. I think this will be a players ball, I liked it a lot. My new TSI3 really liked it.

No disappointment here! I was lucky enough to get a demo sleeve, Thanks Titleist peps! Played three rounds here in Pinehurst, Haven’t noticed a huge difference performance wise (from the 2020 best ball in golf) but they seem to be slightly more durable, (maybe I just need some new Vokeys to rough’em up?) but the line design is a great addition. Keep up the good work!

Received a sleeve of 2021 Prov1x balls and was able to put it in play a bit recently. Granted, weather is cold. I did some indoor and outdoor putting, practice chips, then rotated it in play for a round (par 3s and pitch shots / putting...I don't want to lose them just yet!)
I have been using the previous gen Prov1x as my ball of choice.

Indoor putting is where I noticed the biggest difference of the 2021 Prov1x being slightly softer/muted than previous gen. I do enjoy a firm feeling ball off the putter. 2021 Prov1x was still firm, but slightly less clicky than last years model off the putter. All in all, no issues and only a minor change - it still retains its previous qualities. Outside putting, I noticed the softness / muted sound less - likely due to acoustics.

In normal play, I honestly did not notice anything drastically different between previous year and current year models. Spin on chips, pitches, full iron shots was about the same for me (I am not a very high spin player to begin with) - normal short approaches are 1 hop and stop within 2 feet of pitch mark

More testing to come...but I equate the Prov1 to a Porsche 911...each year, very minor changes, updates but it always retains its greatness.
