Have 1 blade (Newport 2), 1 mallet (2004 Red X) and 1 in between (2016 California Del Mar). Been using the Newport the most, but the others sub in based on conditions and course. All are 36" shaft and Mid Matador grips

Even though I play a blade I do feel a mid mallet feels the best.
That will definitely be my next Scotty a mid mallet

Have used Ray Cook Blue goose lV for 33 years. It was when Scotty was with Ray Cook so it looks a lot like the new Scotty Mid. Love it

My near 20 year old Newport 2.5 is always best for me. I have been eyeing the Phantom 5.5 very closely. See what the future has in store as I go.

I love love love the look of a Newport, but they just don’t fit my stroke. Mallet all day for me.

Love my Scotty Cameron Phantom X 7.5! My putting and confidence have greatly improved over the last year. Played a blade putter before and there is no going back.

I have always been a blade guy as I feel it gives me the best feel and ability to control speed on the greens.

Been gaming Odyssey 2balls for the better part of last 15 years, with my Scotty Fastback 1.5 sprinkled in every now and then.. Now I'm fully commited to my PHANTOM X 12.5.

  10. Been playing with the same Del Mar since I got it 10 years ago and recently switched to the phantom x 5.5. The DelMar is now hanging up on the wall
  11. I used an oddessy #9 for years which is a mid mallet type. Loved it. Then I inherited a select fast back which is slightly bigger but still fairly similar and I love that too. Feels great.
  12. Blade for years, not planning on switching.

Blade putter, I find that I can square them up easier than I can a mid mallet or mallet.

I am also a blade guy and needs to be light as current putters are too heavy.

Have always played blades (Newport) for ever. I just picked up a mid mallet to switch it up. Excited. Especially because it’s another reason to have SC customize it!
  17. I prefer a blade putter for putts that are curved or have an arc to them and I like the mallet for straight putts because it just seems to feel more balanced, but all in all I play the blade much more often. old habits are hard to break.

It is somewhat surprising to see Blade be the most preferred. It feels as though most players these days see some sort of mallet. I guess ya never know!

    Image of Scotty Cameron putters

Putters are personal. We all have our favorite styles and shapes, and the ultimate goal is to find that one flat stick that just suits your eye. Personally, I've tried just about every shape that Scotty Cameron offers and usually gravitate toward one of his mid-mallet designs. So I thought it would be fun to see what all of you had to say when it comes to a favorite putter shape.

Was always a heel shafted Napa player. Love that putter on firm fast greens but as it´s not available any more I have changed to a Fastback. Great all round putter on all green speeds.
