  1. I have a tendency to aim right of my target both putting and driving. My PGA club professional suggested that I use the alignment every time I putt and drive the ball. I now hit more fairways consistently and reduced my putting strokes. Best advice for my golf game in a long time!

  2. Yes, for 20+ years I have used a green line for alignment and a green dot between the Titleist and number on each side of the ball...does help me on breaking putts
  3. I love the triple trac lines cally uses so I bought a triple trac ball marker and put those same lines on my AVX and love it.
  4. I use the line already on the ball, but only off the tee. I use my feet more than anything else to line up my putt.

I do not use an alignment mark . I have been a feel player for a long time,if I need one I use the Side Stamp.

I like a clean look at address when teeing off and focus on the flight I want for the shot. On the green I prefer a small line between the side logo arrows to assist on centering putts on the intended lines. To accomplish this I place a small sharpie line between the arrow tips. I don’t want the line to be a distraction and an all white or yellow ball would allow my eyes to wander off target. The colored line also assists with ball identification in the rough and has prevented me form hitting an incorrect ball as a lot of my playing partners also use titleist and a three point identification mark has worked for many years. The small effort in ball identification is worth not having a two stroke penalty for hitting an incorrect ball. I have won holes and match’s from playing opponents hitting incorrect balls.

I prefer to mark the side within the arrows with a small sharpie. This not only assists in putts focal point, it provides a three point identification when the ball is in the rough to prevent hitting an incorrect ball.
  9. I've used an alignment line on my ball for years and it's made a big difference to my putting. I find it easier to line the ball up to a point than trying to do it by eye over the ball
  10. I use a cross on my ball its helped my putting loads ive went from a 19 handicap down to 10
  11. I personally draw a line on the ole ProV1 to give me something to focus on and make a more repeatable stroke. Without the line I find my eyes look else where causing a miss hit.
  12. A waste of time for the value returned. Another distraction from enjoying a nice day outdoors

I like looking down at a white ball. It’s much less time fussing over whether it’s aligned correctly or not. Think of Jim Furyk up, down, up, down… hit the putt already!

I prefer to not use any alignment for putts or drives personally I feel that it puts more emphasis on line and takes the feel out of putting for me
  15. I believe using the line has truly slowed down the game. Too many people will lag up, and instead of walking up and putting out go thru routine of lining up line even on putt inside a couple of feet. Watch !!!!!! LPGA,PGA,PGA CHAMPIONS. May make some better putters, but certainly makes all slower players.

100 % on the greens I think it gives me a great reference once I've picked a line it's just down to pace and tempo from then on.

I use an alignment aid on the tee as a way to square the club face. I mark the back of ball with a dot, align it to the target line, and my swing thought is to drive the arrow on my Titleist driver right through that dot.
  18. I do use a marker to make a full circle alignment. I prefer a full circle for two reasons. When sighting the slope looking uphill I can see my balls alignment easily without concern of where i initially positioned the ball. In the past I used the balls model logo but it is too faint to see from a distance. Also setting it on top of the ball does not provide any visual alignment squatting down checking the slope on the opposite side of the of the pin.
The other reason is I like to see if my contact was square by a steady line on my rolling ball. This also can be accomplished with half a line.

I use it off the Tee, aligning the line to an intermediate target that's in between where I am aiming on a green or fairway. I visualize I red line through the line on the ball extending to the target and a blue line for my feet doing the same. I feel this not only helps with my aim but also with my bodies alignment. I've never seen anyone do it like myself. I literally get down on the Tee like I'm lining up a putt. I also use it putting like anyone else that does the same, I prefer putters with a Line so I can match the lines at address.

Alignment lines are just one more thing I don't need to think about. I try and ignore them.
