I’d like to reduce handicap down to a 2 and shoot a scratch round. Hole in one is ALWAYS on my goals list. I want to spend more time practicing with wedges and work on spin control for shots under 100 yards. I want to wing a tournament event and also play more than just my local courses. I want my game/handicap to “travel” well.

Consistency in my golf game and playing more often. Also to get to pinehurst and play on of the courses!

    3. Play at least 3 top 100 courses (going to Bandon in March so will probably accomplish that soon xD)

    4. Practice pre-shot routine once a week

    5. get a TT bag tag (hopefully)
  4. my goal's are to post a handicap around 12, improve my short game back to what it once was,, and finish upgrading my bag.

Hoping to stay healthy after shoulder replacement November 21’ and a bicep injury midway through the 22’ season. You’ll find me putting in some serious range time at Trump National HV

I got my amateur status back for this year, so my goals are to play in (and win) tournaments in my local amateur circuit…and also would like to qualify for some of the bigger USGA events (US Open, US Am, US Mid-Am).

I think mine would be go shoot even par. Lofty, I've broken 80 multiple times, but it's a goal nonetheless.

My goal is to play at least 60 rounds this year. Had 45, 41, and 48 the past 3 seasons and I just need to push myself to get the clubs in the Kia and roll!!
A trip to visit friends in the KC area is a strong possibility and we will be bringing the clubs along for the ride. My wife plays more than I do so I know we can make some stops along the way and on the return trip!

My goal for this year will be to actually play consistent golf. And lower my scores getting away from those extra strokes from small mistakes.

Posted this in the UK thread, but figured I’d post it here too.

Been having a think on my golf goals for 2023, and have a couple which I will be trying to hit.

Firstly, and it's probably the hardest one, is track my stats over the year, across every round (where applicable...foursomes, greensomes etc can't be done). It'll just be the basic GIR, FIR, number of putts etc...but want to get back in the habit. I don't want to use shot tracking systems, as they just get in the way, especially with the inevitable editing that is required afterwards.

Off the back of that, I want to average 35% GIR across the year, and have a scrambling average of 40%.

I've set myself the target of making 175 birdies (or better) in 2023. I had the target of 150 in 2022, and made 199...but I played a LOT of golf. To help, I also want my average Par 5 score to be 5, across the whole year. They are the obvious place to make some birdies, so hopefully can get this rocking.

A bit of a stretch goal, is to have a bogey (or worse) free round. Very tough to achieve, but we'll see how it goes.

I also want to break par at least twice this year.

Mostly, I want to try and enjoy my golf, play some good courses with like-minded folks and see where we shake out at the end of it all.
  14. My goals were

To have a hole in one which I have achieved

I am looking to qualify for the us senior am championship

To get my handicap as low as possible currently +1.5

Goal 1- I'd like to get my handicap back down to single digits. Sitting at 14.3 at the moment. Just got back into playing after a 7 year break. Ranged 8.7 to 12 before the break.

Goal 2-Upgrade my clubs. Most of my clubs are 10+ years old.

Goal 3-Enjoy every time I'm out playing. Don't let my score or a bad shot ruin the day.

I am an 11.8 but I really want to get my driver worked out it cost me 5-7 strokes a round. My short game has really improved over the last two years and my putting was better last year. I just get put in bad positions with my driver. I know I can be a solid 8 or 9 if I get my driver under control.

My goal is to play more. (yeah I say that every year - ha) Specifically, would like to get from a 9.1 hdcp down to a 7 flat this season. From a playing perspective that means I need to improve short game and putting, which I have been working on most of the winter. Here in Michigan we have another couple weeks before we can start playing regularly (or at all in some places) so still in prep mode.

Mine are pretty simple. After fighting Leukemia since last August, My goal is to get back on the course with a new attitude towards the privilege of being able to play. I will take in all the beauty of being able to enjoy the fresh air, friendship and the challenges of the game we all love. This is going to be a fun year.
  20. I am hoping to
    -focus on course management.
    -Move my handicap below 12.
    -Get out and play more.
-try and remember that each and every shot counts the same.
