Golfers are a dedicated bunch and there isn't much that will keep us off the course... so in our latest quick poll, we want to check in with all of you for a quick game of "Would you rather" but with a golf twist. Cast your vote below and drop a comment to let us know more about your vote (and let us know if there is another golf debate we should explore).

I’ll play in either but given a choice I’ll take wind. Less fuss keeping equipment dry, not encumbered by waterproofs. Things just feel a bit more miserable in the rain.

I have to say Rainy conditions for the simple fact that for me it's less calculations regarding the wind and I don't second guess my club selections as much. Plus I enjoy putting my FJ rain gear to use.

I wear glasses, so for me playing in the wind rather than rain is a no brainer. I've also lived in TX a couple times and most of the year you have to play in the wind or you don't play. This spring and early summer here in the Midwest we've also had a lot of windy weather, so again it's play in the wind or don't play.

I've played in both and sometimes experienced heavy rains and strong winds at the same time. I voted for playing in rainy conditions over windy conditions. I find that with proper rain gear (FJ gear all the way), I don't have to adjust my game much compared to when it's windy.

It is almost always windy where I live, so wind is a no brainer. i do play in the rain, when necessary, but for a casual round, we will normally opt not to play in the rain.

Rainy all day. At least it's consistent. Windy days are much tougher to judge, especially on gusty days.

Rain over wind. Makes greens more receptive and doesn't lose you hat :)

I'll take the rain as long as it's not a cold rain!

when playing in windy conditions you have some options like hitting a lower ball flight to get under the wind sometimes the wind will be at your back giving you more options but when its rainy and you are not prepared for it...nothing worse than being wet and being outside and being cold...I would rather play in 100 plus heat than these conditions...

I guess it would really come down to how windy or how rainy. I'm game to play in most conditions but if my ball goes sideways when I hit it or if there are rivers running down the fairway then I'm out. Have to at least get a little enjoyment out of it.

It is rare to not play in some wind. There is a certain fun in teeing off for a round when the wind is above 15mph, but unless it is going to stop raining after 2 or 3 holes from that first tee shot, not going to give it a go.

I can adjust my swing for the wind and add a club here and there, but with the rain, so difficult to keep everything dry, when it comes to equipment. I can stay dry with all the awesome FJ rain gear I have on. It does work but those heavy rains running off of my gear make it difficult to play golf. Need an towels to keep the grips dry. The FJ rain gloves to help a lot. the wetter they get, the better they grip.

I live in eastern South Dakota where 75% of my rounds seem to be in some kind of wind so I've somewhat grown used to it.

I tend to hate rounds in the rain for one main reason, I wear glasses. There's nothing worse than having to deal with reason drops and spray on your lenses. I actually wouldn't mind the rain if it weren't for that. I'd probably still prefer the wind though.

Windy conditions for me. Rainy conditions can be frustrating. Keeping everything dry, course plays much longer, mud on your ball and putting on wet greens can be challenging. I say this but I’m also one of those golfers that will play in all conditions.

I don't mind the rain, but I rather play in the wind. I think the wind is a fun way to mix up my playing style. It demands different shots, and affects the ball more than the rain would.
  22. Playing as youth in Western KS, we played in the wind all the time. I believe that Tom Watson once called ‘playing in the wind’ the Great Equalizer. Now living on the East Coast, occasionally people will say, “I don’t play when it is this windy” … as I think to myself, if hadn’t played in this kind of wind - we would have never played golf.
