I am in the Midwest so as it gets below 50 things get a bit more challenging.

When I lived in NY, I would play in anything. Now, after 13 years of retirement in Florida, I'm spoiled. If it dips into the 40's, I'm done. As they say here in FL, tomorrow is another day.

If playing golf in Madison Wisconsin on April 1st with a temp of 40 I bet it would feel really warm.
Playing golf in San Diego on January 1st and the temp is around 50 it feels cold....Golf temp is all relative to your geographical location and your temp conditioning.

Cold weather FJ gloves and a flexible fleece pullover with a knit long sleeve shirt work down to the low to mid 40’s. Walking and trying to use the cart gloves becomes an issue in the 30’s. Along with flannel lined pants and a third top layer. At that point, it isn’t as much fun. Restricting movement and shorter ball flight along with many available simulators drive me inside. I’ve played at least one round in every month in Madison but not likely anymore to repeat that. Playing in the 40’s in November beats that temp on April 1. The fairways are hard and fast. On April 1 the 14th club is a trenching tool to unplug the ball with the top 3 inches of mud over frozen tundra.
Maybe a TTI will include a warmer layer than a thin windbreaker?

Cold in the fall is a different number than cold in the spring!

45 and up is ok as long as its not too windy... I wear shorts above 55 if sunny.

Funny how 50 in the spring at the beginning of the season feels like 70, but 50 in the fall at the end of the season feels like 30!!!

I will go if the course is open. I don't like the greens being frozen as my short game and putting are the best part of my game.

Til I fancied up and grabbed a cart cover and heater lol, but now its not below 30 anymore (and little wind). Thank goodness I'm a sweeper, bc the diggers might break a wrist in frozen ground toppers lol!

Living in Florida we don’t have a cold problem. But I used to have a higher tolerance to the cold before moving here. Now I’m a bit of a wimp if it gets below 50°. Unless I’m playing Bandon Dunes, then I can handle whatever cold, wind and rain are thrown at me.

As long as the ground it's frozen I'm in.

Being in Coastal GA, we play year round, but if the temperature gets below 60 with no sun and windy, I would rather be in the 19th hole.

In the Northeast, Long Island below 40 is iffy. If sun is out and no wind may attempt, but try to stay above 40.

I'm a wuss, 60* is it.

Played an early April round in Michigan this year, 40 degrees and rainy!

It’s sometimes a question of whether the course is open for play on days with less than ideal weather conditions. For myself, I’ve been miserable playing in the 50’s when the wind is howling and quite comfortable when it’s in the 30’s with the sun shining and not much of a breeze.

Home is at the South Jersey Shore. As long as there's no snow, we play. Frozen greens mean hit it short and let it run up. But of course we love the warmer weather. But not playing is not an option.

Wind is the biggest factor when it's under 50

If the sun is out and no wind, I can play in any temperature. The biting wind and overcast makes it an entirely different animal.

Under 50 is my limit.

Temperature is only one consideration- the "feels like" or wind chill is more of a determinate for me. Here in the Mountain West temperatures in the 40's with little to no breeze can feel more comfortable than playing in the 50"s with a 15-20 mph wind. Once the calendar turns to October, it's a day to day decision because the weather varies so much in the Fall.
