I'm pleased to announce Team Titleist Dormie Club, set for Friday, May 31 - Sunday, June 2, 2024. This follows my events at Ballyhack (2022) and Victoria National (2023), which many of you were able to attend.

Dormie Club, which opened in 2010 is located just outside Pinehurst. It is the only Coore & Crenshaw original design in North Carolina. Check out www.dormienetwork.com/dormie-club for more info, including a course tour.

This fully-inclusive event features three days of golf (with forecaddy), on-site lodging, all food and beverage, and prizes and favors; daily caddy gratuity is not included. Spots for this event are limited. Full details, current itinerary, and live registration can be found at www.teamtitleistdormie.com.

Many thanks to Team Titleist for supporting this event. It's going to be a great time!

I lived and worked in the Pinehurst area for 6 years and if you have not had the opportunity to visit the area, the Titleist event at the Dormie club is an excellent opportunity. Anyone who takes the game seriously should include Pinehurst on their bucket list. With the U.S. Open in town in June, the timing will never be better. That’s because as they say in the Sandhills…”It’s always a Beautiful day in Pinehurst”. Since this is the start of Masters week…Two of the rare things in life that actually exceed expectations are attending the Masters and visiting Pinehurst. For me icing on the cake was talking to former Masters Champions under the big oak tree at Augusta and shaking Arnold Palmers hand at the Pine Crest Inn in Pinehurst when he was enroute to Augusta for the 2005 Masters. Now that is Priceless!

Question about travel to the group that is going. Or y’all driving or flying? Which airport if your flying? Does anyone want to share rental car expenses?

I only live a two hour drive away. Your closest airport would be Raleigh.
  12. Looking forward to attending events, playing tournaments, and helping anyway I could!

Am driving up from Charleston, SC. Three hour drive for me up to Pinehurst area.

Would be about a 7 hour drive for you up I-95, most of the way. To avoid the expense of flying and rental car, you could drive up to Santee, SC. Spend the night and drive up to Dormie the next morning. Food for thought. Nothing fancy hotels but reasonable. Two golf courses there that are decent and host a number of events. Lake Marion Golf course has largest selection of FJ shoes in SC at reasonable prices.

Dormie is a bucket list course. Reminded me a lot of Tobacco Road with less slope and faster greens. If you get the chance to go then you should. My dad is lucky enough to play there a few times a year and always sends me pictures to make me jealous while he is there.

Getting a epidural on the 16th so I can enjoy the event a little more. Three days of golf is a bit much for this old body, but I cannot wait to get there and enjoy this wonderful trek. Looking forward to seeing some names I recognize and meeting some faces. No sandtraps, only waste bunders. Like playing at the Ocean Course at Kiawah. Thanks for everything Wade.

Have a great time, everyone who've signed up for this event!! I see some familiar names from the Ballyhack Dormie Event, which was a truly unforgettable experience; a dream for a golf nuts like me and my partner on fairways and greens, (and life), Abdon!
I really appreciated all the guys being cool with a sole female joining the group! Wondering if any gals are in on this trip?
Wish Abdon and I could've been on this list, hoping to make it to any future events!

WARNING: Those who did get to come to Dormie Club in NC, missed a memory and a great golf event. Wade is the man!!!!!!!! Just sayin'

Putting aside that my game was off and I played in pain all three days, I had a blast. The accommodations and the staff at the Club were the best. Think I gained five pounds while I was there. Weeeeell, I had to try everything they provided. The food was nothing short of spectacular and no one went hungry from morning to to bedtime. Such a great bunch of guys to share fellowship with made the event even more memorable. I had the opportunity to play with some great golfers and will never forget those 300+ drives, Frank, and those par fours you drove for our team. Dude you definitely got game. What a treat. The guys I play with every week in my senior league, the average age is around 70 and I am one of the longest hitter, if you can believe that. Fun and fellowship, plus some golf was what this memory was all about.

Wade was the most gracious host, made sure that we were entertained and our every wish was met. The staff at the Dormie Club were second to none. Due to age and medical issues I do not feel that I can make future events of three days. Just too much to handle. Other than that I could not have enjoyed myself more. New friends and renewing old acquaintances.

Please support Wade next year and you will find hopefully the same memory that I found in my first Dormie event. Nothing but first class from the time you enter the gate until you say goodbye. Thank you Wade for a life long memory.

P.S. Thank you Titleist for being there. It is important to have your support at these events. It only strengthens the TT community. You guys are the best.

Kudos, Dormie Club Event, West End, NC 2024

This was an awesome event, thanks to Wade Whitehead for hosting! Also thank you to Allan Blocker and Lisa Maybruch for attending!!

Ever since his event at Ballyhack, I'll always try to make Wade's events. Fun times with great people and getting to play great golf courses! Dormie Club and all of the courses that I've gotten to play in the Dormie Network so far have been amazing.
