    Voke,
Do you feel like a golfer with a handicap over 6 has any business carrying a wedge between 60 thru 62 degrees, I personally feel like 58 degrees should be the max for most amateur golfers! Just wanted your opinion?

  3. I wonder how different Camber's on the soul create a different reaction on the turf? Could this ever be an additional option for selection on a wedge? When I'm shopping for wedges I'm more interested in the Camber than the bounce... it's more a feel thing for me... thoughts? Switched to the K bounce I love the look of it for my 58. And the sm8's are beautiful, I could use a practice set;)

  4. Hey Bob...been playing your wedges for years. Love 'em. Following an injury to my lower body I've become more of a "picker" from the fairway. What grind do you recommend for wedges 110 yds and in? Less bounce? Many thanks.
  5. I play most of my golf in my home state of WI with what I'll call softer turf conditions and have all M Grind SM7 wedges, but have been traveling a lot more to various states all over especially SE and SW playing on much different turf conditions, usually firmer.

Which wedge grind would be the recommendation to provide me the most versatility?

    Thanks

    Hi Bob,

Would you consider releasing the 60.06K grind to the public? And whatever happened to the 56.12F and 60.11K grinds? Those were couple of my favorites in years past.

    Thanks,
    Ed

I am told that the groove on your wedges wear down after a year and that I should avoid using them on the range. Is this so? I have 3 and I di not want to replace them yearly.
  8. I normally use my 60° (max bounce) out of the sand but I have issues if it is shallow or really firm sand and I will catch a lot of ball even though the club enters at least an inch behind the ball. What degree of bounce is better for firm sand and really tight fairways. I currently play the Vokey SM6 for my 52°, 56° and 60° wedges
  9. Mr. Vokey,

How do you reinvent yourself every year?

    Thanks,

    Spencer
  10. Hello,

Will the different finishes feel different from each other?

    Mr. Vokey
I currently have an SM6 (56 degree with 8 degrees of bounce) and two SM 7 wedges ( 48 degree and 52 degree both in black). I am looking at the SM 8 56 degree with 12 degrees of bounce to be used for the sand and yardage inside 85 yrds and around the greens. Will the SM 8 give me the added touch and spin I desire? I played the pro V 1x but needed more spin around the greens. Will the SM 8 give me that?

  12. How will the new SM8 help a high handicap golfer?
  13. As a player who has a frequent tendency to dig into the turf on chip shots, what is the recommendation regarding the amount of bounce I should be playing?

    Thank you....

How important, if at all, is getting wedges with shafts matched to your iron set?
  15. Several manufacturers have gone to "high toe" wedges with faces that are completely grooved. I'm sure that there are advantages and disadvantages to any design. Why did you decide to stay with a more traditional design? For what it's worth, knowing how important it is to stand over the ball with a club that inspires confidence, I'm glad that you did decide to evolve your design, rather than start over!

    Mr. Vokey,

If you had to pick one what is more important to focus on when selecting a new SM8 wedge, bounce or grind?

Thanks for creating the best wedges in golf!

  17. What do you think is the most important improvement to the SM8?
  18. Which SM8 wedges would you recommend a fairly new golfer to have in his bag?
  19. Love the new wedges. Look, feel, sound. Top notch as always.

My question to Bob is..What’s Next?!
  20. Do sm8 wedges have smaller faces than vokey wedges did 10-12 years ago?
