Hard to describe but when you feel like you strike the ball the way you intended, the spin will be what you need. Don't know if I said that right. Just that feel trumps spin in my book.

I don't necessarily need to be able to control the spin as much as I need to be able to feel that I can judge the distance and roll out.

Both are important but I think spin is the most important. Without it you cant hit the shot that stops near the hole. Feel is a close second. I play the Prov1x.

For me feel and how it comes off the club face. My speed and distance is good so feel is important.

I switched to AVX earlier this year, but I am going back to Pro V1 next time I buy because I like the feel, but I want a little higher ball flight, and more spin.

Need the proper spin to ensure that the ball reacts as expected when using the short clubs around the green.

I couldn’t agree more, you must have feel for the results which in turn gives confidence. That’s why I am so attached to playing the AVX.

I chose spin because I play on several small firm turtle back greens. So the spin is important to me so I can keep the ball close to the hole when chipping. I am willing to sacrifice some feel for spin because of where I play.

Feel for me, as feel equates to softness and contact!

Usually, I'll know if its a fairly decent shot as soon as I contact the ball. Having playing golf for awhile, (and still a double digit handicapper). Titleist golf balls have been the most consistent all these years. from balata smiles to the 1x.

No matter what, can't beat it. Whenever a shot is made, its all me and never ever the fault of Titleist ball or equipment. I've played balls that lost its twang after 2 holes. and I've played Titleist balls more that 1 round. Well worth it.

I just dont think you can replace the confidence ins a ball that you love how it feels on the club face on and around the green!

FEEL... FEEL... FEEL!!!

If that ball feels good off the blade, I can pretty much know the result. The spin should act accordingly. I play on Seth Raynor type renovated muni every week, including the famous template par-3 holes: Redan, Biarritz, Short and Eden. Plus, some of the longer holes look like Raynor had designed them with the new bunkering and greens. Yes, there is a Knoll hole, a Maiden, a Cape and a Double Plateau. Old school golf at it's best and the greens are very small and after two years the greens are finally softening to get some bite. Feel is super important in playing this course, and accuracy with 50 plus bunkers, 14 water holes and greens that even brought one visiting tour pro to his knees on hole number 7 as he shot a horrible 64. Rollercoaster green. =)

Both…especially on Bermuda greens…playing at Pinehurst we have Bermuda greens, except for #9…both the ProV1 & the ProV1X react great on our greens !!!

Has to be feel, but both are required. If you have good spin but feels terrible it won't inspire confidence. Also in inverse if it feels great but spins terrible, I can probably work with it but would keep searching for a new ball.

Feel is more important to me, as I can adjust my shot based on that. Spin will be what it is, and shouldn't change too much around the green.

Feel, for sure !! Spin is "predictable" ... "repetitive" ... I need to FEEL the ball/clubface interaction.
