I’ve been playing 8 years. I took it up as a way to get out and relieve some stress on my days off and to get some vitamin D because I was working night shift at the time. The golf bug bit me hard and I haven’t stopped since.

Started playing in 97' when some guys at work invited me. Got the bug pretty good so I was playing pretty much every week until I got married in 02'. My now ex-wife decided that golf was too expensive so I rarely played if at all for about 12 years. After the divorce I started playing again with a mixed bag but no Titleist. Always thought that they were for "better" players. Got my first set of Titleist irons after watching a few Mark Crossfield videos when he was with Titleist and haven't looked back. I try to play once or twice a week and hit the range when possible. Going to get fit at Manchester Lane in August so I'm really looking forward to that. First time getting fit and having every club be brand new (except my Scotty).

Been playing since I was about 10, when my father bought me my first set. Started taking it more serious 5-6 years ago. So about 17 years in total
  9. 53 years for me. Some highs and lows but always challenging and fun.

I haven’t played in 3 years because of some serious spine issues. I started playing golf for almost 60 years. I think I was 8 when I started. In fact I still have a trophy from 1967 for being “ Most Improved Junior Golfer”!

When I was stationed at Myrtle Beach AFB, SC, one of my many secondary duties was squandron sports NCO. As Chief of Administration for the Comptroller I served on a lot of committees. Came with the position. Was told to play golf. Like a fish out of water hit the links, first round 140. Held the record for most balls in a pond on a par three in a round, 12. Did hack it around the course. A lot of smiley balls. 36 handicap. One year. What a joke. Medically discharged in 1971 and established a career and took up the game for real in 1984 when we moved to Charleston where the first golf club was established on Harleston Green in America. Really don't count that year of flogging those Club Specials and pretending because of a duty.

So that would be 38 years taking away the past time I have been away due to medical issues with my back, now and when I had surgery a few years ago. As my wife says, every question seems to have a story.

Too Long... Sometimes it seems like I'm not improving...But for playing golf around 50 years with a slight break while kids were in college its been a blast......

People I've met, courses I've seen, better than cleaning the yard or painting the house, so priceless.......

I guess this is my 23rd year playing. Didn't start playing until I met my wife in college. Been hooked ever since she convinced me to "just try it out at the range"

Been playing on and off for over 20 years. Started in 8th grade with a junior set, played all summer. Had an amazing deal at my local courses where you'd pay $50 for a membership card and the course would cost $5 to walk. Played baseball in high school, so I didn't play at all for 4 years. Played a few rounds in college. Then after college worked at a golf shop, got back into it, completed my bag. Then I got out of the golf industry after a year or so, took a hiatus. Then COVID hit and it was the only thing you could do outside. Hook, line, and sinker, I'm here to stay!
