Got my test balls in the mail this week and played this weekend with them. Lost 1 but didnt play too bad. But, i felt the balls were softer and a little more durable then the normal pro v1xs but not a huge difference. Didnt get a big scuff in ball on short chips from my wedges so that was a plus. But overall, a great ball and Titleist made my week from there little care package so thanks!

I received my sleeve of Titleist "Black" balls and was excited to try them. They gave me respectable distance off the tee and flew straight with a mid to high flight with some roll out (course was soft in spots). Iron shots also flew straight. They seem to take off when I hit them with my fairway "woods". On wedge shots and around the green they checked nicely (predictable). I didn't get much backspin but again some of the greens where pretty soft. They putted great and had a nice feel to them. I have played ProV1X's in the past and was afraid to try the ProV's because I tend to hit a high ball, but these didn't seem to do that. I didn't have any that ballooned on me when hit into the wind. All around seems like a great ball and would definitely recommend them.

Played a round yesterday with the test sleeve I received earlier in the week. Teed off when the temperature outside Chicago was around 50 degrees and did not get to 60 degrees during the round. I am providing the conditions, because from my perspective, I found the test balls to be harder that the ProV1x I usually play.

The distance, flight and playability were very good, but I noticed a harsher sound off the club face which was particularly noticeable around the putting green when I could alternate between the test ball and my ProV1x. Personally, I prefer what I perceived to be the softer sound and feel of the ProV1x over the test balls.

That said, they played like a Titleist during the round - very reliable. I hope you find the feedback useful. Thanks for including me in the test.

Put the New 2017 Pro V1X in play on the second nine at Sand Valley and promptly birdied Nos. 10 & 11. Awesome feel. Exceptional performance. Carry distance was further and the stability in the wind was impressive. Looking even more forward to the 2017 season and playing some of my best golf using the new Pro V1X. Thanks Titleist!

Received the Titleist test balls last week. Played them for one round of golf and found them to be similar to the pro v1 in feel and flight characteristics to me. Unfortunately it is fall season here and I have since lost them as any hit that fails to find the fairway ends up in deep leaves on the sides of the fairway and is hard to find. Thanks for the opportunity to test these.
  6. Thank you for the opportunity to test the prototype.

I recently had switched from ProV1x to a Bridgestone 330RX because it felt softer and a less spin for me which means more distance.

I played this morning in 20-30mph winds and the ball performed quite well. It felt firmer than my current Bridgestone 330RX. It felt nice chipping around the green. Still need time to get use to its full performance when not blowing 20-30 but if they come out with a softer feeling ball I can see myself gaming it.

I tested prototypes last year and the year before. I was nice to see that the feedback and my responses to the testing program helped to develop the Velocity ball. Titleist does a great job communicating with the testers to use feedback for future golf ball development. It feels good to contributing to a great product. Thanks for including me the testing program.

The test balls arrived earlier this week and I took them for a spin this weekend. The weather here in the Cleveland area was cold (low to mid 40's) and very windy. The course had been aerated about 3 weeks ago but the balls behaved very well. The distance was slightly longer but the feel and trajectory were similar to the ProV's I have been playing. They also seemed to check faster than the current model and felt a little bit better than the ones from this year. The feedback I get on the putter is also better. I am 64 and carry a 7 handicap so I am very satisfied with these new balls. Thanks for selecting me to try them. Can't wait to use them in the warmer weather.

I received a sleeve of balls this spring. I enjoyed being more tuned into the golf ball. I provided feedback per the email. After a few weeks I received a thank you note and a complimentary sleeve of the Tour S balls that were the prototype I tested. Best part is that is that is the exact ball I play and was fortunate enough to have a hole in one with. Great experience. Keep the prototypes coming, please!

I wanted to thank Titleist for the their generosity !! I have been testing for 3-4 years now and love the surprise not knowing how ball will preform.last 3 were not pro vs but still played very well, hope to stay on the list.
  11. I was pleasantly surprised by the sleeve of V1X's that arrived in the mail. I was anxious to try them as I also received my new 917 driver and 3 wood. Only problem was finding a good day to play in VT. The golf gods were kind and I was able to play a couple of days and was pleased with both the balls and the clubs. The 1X did feel a bit softer but felt nice coming off the clubface. Playing in some consistent 15 to 20 mph breezes it really held it's line. I also seemed to get more spin off the wedges than my existing 1x's and it took me a few holes to play to a longer yardage on approach shots. Hoping for more good testing weather but winter is closing in. Thank you Mike and the team at Titleist.

I have tested prototype balls twice - the first sleeve just marked with red circles, triangles. The second time the high visibility balls marked "Test". Both times I felt motivated to seriously try shots right through the bag of clubs on the range, and then give them an honest evaluation on the course. Answering the review questions gave me so much insight into my game and the ways using quality balls improves any level of player. As a lifelong golfer getting ready to enjoy retirement, I'm looking forward to more rounds and more fun!! Thanks Titleist!

A little cool here in the midwest, so I'm not sure now is the best time to try a new ball. That being said, I thought the ProV1x balls that I received may be a little longer and fly a little lower than the balls I purchased in the spring (Yes, I still have balls from the spring. I purchase 8 dozen when you run your special in the spring) I noticed no difference in spin or control around the green

I am an 18 HCP & found the balls to be very forgiving. I hit a long ball but tend to slice at times - the test balls seem to stay on line better than my previous balls. Enjoyed the feel off the club, especially the irons.

I didn't have an opportunity to test this latest batch. Would have liked to do so. My last batch was triangles and squares.
  16. I enjoyed playing the "test" ball. The ball felt a little heavy on miss hits. The previous X1 didn't seem as heavy. Middle of the club hits were solid as most center hits will be. Spin on full shots was as expected and sat down well. Driving distance was similar. A solid ball that many will play. Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to play the "test ball".

I received some test balls quite a while back and have finally gone through them all. I believe they were the TruSoft. They were excellent golf balls. My game had gone downhill over the years because of not getting to play as much as I used to. These balls almost made me feel I could hit the ball again. When I did hit a solit hit, the ball flew straight as an arrow. I have lost some distance over the years but was still able to hit these well. When I didn't hit the ball solid or bladed the ball, I still felt the ball performed to standards. My drives flew to medium height and rolled well. It retained its shape well and I was able to play the balls for awhile before finally losing the last one. It had held up well. All in all, it was a well made golf ball.

Loved getting a chance to test the Red. Played today on a cool Minnesota day. Decided to let a friend also play the test ball so could get two inputs. The main thing we both noted was how well the ball stayed on trajectory in a 15 mph wind. It was very noticeable.
Along with surprising soft touch around the greens and when putting.
We both are single digit handicaps and normally play the X. We are anxious to see this ball come to the market as we both agreed we would play it.
Thanks for letting us test it!!!

Played the balls received today. Played two balls for each shot, my normal ProV1 and the test ball, Red 1 Test. I would still prefer my ProV1 over the test ball. The test ball did not have the feel of my normal, seemed not as soft feel. The sound of the contact threw me a bit, more of a click. Trajectory on the driver was more to my norm with the ProV1, seems the test ball imparted/had more spin; caused a fade on a couple of shots; no appreciable difference in distance, +- 5 yards. Contact off irons is where I noticed the most difference in feel, soft to harder. The test ball, again, sounded different off the putter, no real difference in play-ability on putts.
Thank you for the opportunity to try the test balls, made for interesting discussions on the course.
  20. I played today with the new test balls. I found that the ball jumps off the face on the club real nice. It was a cool morning temps in low 50th and the ball seemed long. I would say a bit longer then Prov V or the Pro V1X. When are they coming to market
