  1. I have recently switched to Bridgestone 330RX because of its soft feel and less spin attributes.

I played this morning in 20-30 mph winds with the new prototype balls. I was pleasantly surprised with the performance. The ball is firmer then the Bridgestone.

Around the greens, it performed like a Titleist is accustomed too.

  2. I played today with the new test balls. It was a cool morning but the ball seem to go a long way. It also had a nice feel coming off the club face. When are they coming to market.
  3. Just received my sleeve of test balls. Overall they felt great. They weren't quite as responsive as I am used to but felt great off the driver. Probably need to get another round with them to be sure of the feel around the greens.

I took my test balls to the course today. Usually play the Pro V1x for their lower spin. The test balls felt softer than the "x" yet carry distance was about the same. It was cold here in western Pa (42') so real carry was subjective. I hit some duplicate shots...the test ball had a nice feel. Hit a few chips and bunker shots; typical Titleist predictability. Nice feel/sound off the putter. Would LOVE to put this ball in play on a warm, sunny day......
  5. Have played 27 holes with the black ProV prototype. Ball feels great off my driver and hybrids. Conditions were windy both days and ball seemed to ride the wind nicely downwind and bored thru wind against. I typically got 10-15 more yards off the tee. Also liked the feel off the putter. I was rolling better puts and making more. I've also received a sleeve of red ProVx prototypes and will report on them later.

Received a sleeve last week. October in Michigan is about the end of the year for golf but a nice Sunday fixed that. No make & model on the test balls. I usually play a ProV1. With the course wide open, it was easy to hit both balls. I found the test balls slight harder feeling than my usual ProV1. On well hit tee shots, the test ball went an easy 10 yards farther. A little lower ball flight than ran out a bit more. Same on approach shots, a well struck ball checked up but a slight run out. Short pitches and chips ran out farther than my ProV1. Putting distance was much the same but the test ball had a little "click" rather than the smooth feel of a ProV1. While the test balls were not bad by any means, they were not ProVs. It was interesting. It also confirmed my decision to put the ProV1 into my bag so many years ago was the correct call. A ball just does not get better than a ProV1.
  7. Played with balls today it was very windy 40-50 mph. Ball when well struck preformed excellent. Would recommend this ball to all levels of golfers
  8. Received a sleeve of "Test" balls 1-1/2 weeks ago. Weather and travel interfered with being able to play but finally got to try them today.

My Driver was uncooperative today (with any ball - I always hit a ProV1 and a Test on the same shots) so I didn't get a great feel for them off the Driver.

Off irons the Test ball had considerable "pop" and felt really good on contact. I noticed higher ball flights versus the Pro V1 I was playing. Approach shots left similar distance from the pitch mark to ball stopping. Found the Test ball to be a bit longer than the Pro V1 on approaches for sure. Putting perfromance seemed similar to me though possibly not quite as lively off the face of the putter.

Thank-you so much for this opportunity! I was very pleased to be included in this test! Sadly I lost 1 of the Test balls today (Leaves) but I still have 2 and will try them some more and report anything I notice.
  9. Received my prototypes last Wednesday and have played 5 rounds with them. They are the best ball I have ever played with. I was able to control the spin with my wedges unbelievably well. Also had a smooth role with the short stick! Always the #1 golf ball!

I tested the NXT Tour about a year or so ago. I think it says a lot about Titleist that you give us "regular" golfers an opportunity to provide opinions and comments on new balls and equipment and don't just rely on test results and tour professionals when researching a new product. We feel like we are part of the process.

Very good off the woods (driver, fairway, and hybrid) irons didn't feel crisp. Love the feel around the greens and with the putter. I may have had a bad day striking the irons, overall it reminds me of the ProV1x.
  12. Excellent golf ball. It performed very similar to the current Pro V1x I play. It really seemed to hold its line well into head winds and cross winds. Distance seemed comparable to current model too. Cover appeared to have slightly better durability. Ball may have had slightly more short game spin as well but unable to confirm with a trackman or flightscope. Thanks for the continued innovation and player engagement.

Hot with the woods (Driver, Fairway, and Hybrids). Love the feel around the greens and with the putter. Didn't have a good day with the irons, overall very good performance
  14. Loved to the stealth nature of the mailing.

Noticed a nice difference with the ball especially off the tee. My forgiving, a little longer and just felt good. Of course being a 17 hcp. it's hard to tell if I was having a good day or if it was the balls. Not much difference putting (nor should there be), but short game had a nice feel to them as well.

I liked 'em! Send more; two are at the bottom of a lake and one is god knows where.

    Thanks for the opportunity.
  15. Received a sleeve of titlist test balls a couple of days ago used them today. Had a very nice round was able to hit the ball about 6-10 yards farther and had more control of them. loved the feel off the driver and wedges and also to be able to have more backspin on them, which I love to do. May have to switch from my cally's to Titleist from now on.
Thanks for letting me test them. Wonderful experience!
  16. Today was a beautiful day for 18 holes of golf here in central Illinois, so I was able to try one of the test balls that I received last week. I don't know what type of Pro V they are, but I would really like to know. I loved it. I got great distance and and it stopped great on our firm greens.

the most recent ones I got didn't seem to fly as far as my Titleist NXT Tours S Yellow. I hit a srxn to measure the distance, too and the srxn "soft feel" went farther.

Took the red #1 test balls for a ride. They felt longer, but my distances were typical. It was cool for most of the round (50° to start, 65° to finish) so they might be a bit longer at 80°. They also seemed to have a fair bit of bite on the greens--the greens were just sanded, which may have had an impact. Overall, the ball felt springy (good springy) and it jumpy off the face; I liked the feeling at impact. They tended to be a little eager to find OB, but I would be happy to play them again.
  19. Very solid feel off the driver and the putter. Held the greens really well. I like the feel of the ball around the greens. Appears to be durable as still playing with the same ball. Thanks for the opportunity to test them. Best regards.
  20. Like the way it felt off the club - hit it farther than nxt tour s / I don't have strong club head speed and don't want a lot of spin and I thought this was way better than pro v which spins too much for me- like the color better than pro v which is less than brilliant white to me
