  1. Played today with the test sleeve in Wisconsin (red number 1 (assume Pro V1X)). I compared to latest version of Pro V1X and felt the test ball was a bit firmer especially when putting. Has some improved distance off the driver. As for the ball flight I felt the test ball peaked higher. Overall very happy with the test ball results. Thank you for the opportunity.

Hit what I assume is the ProV1x prototype today? Wow! This ball is scary long off the tee and seems to be softer around the green. What is not to like?

This is my third time to be part of the test panel and the ball gets better every time.

Thank you Titleist for including me in this process!

I've had several sleeves to test and found it interesting and useful. NXT S is my pick
  4. I took to the golf course with my Titleist Pro v1 test balls and was very happy with the distance I got off the tee. Around the green the feel was softer and with better results. I really feel this ball is much improved. Thank you Titleist.

I received mine a week ago played two rounds with them, i love this new ball , with
the large dimples ot has a better penetrating rising ball flight and has excellent spin on the greens on approach. i believe the best ball yet , and i been testing these balls for years. Titleist seams to be levels ahead of the game.

Had a chance to use the Black Titleist test ball today at Bethpage Golf Blue Course. I liked the feel of the ball and was hitting my long irons about 10 yards longer. I hit a very high ball and I didn't see any difference using this ball.
  7. Received mine on Thursday. Had a chance to test them in really foul weather medium rain and 20mph winds with gusts of 40 mph. this Saturday. I'm was very pleased with the overall performance of the x version. Felt a little longer off the driver and that same feel around the greens and off the putter. More testing to do but overall I'm very pleased.

I received my test balls early last week, and finally got a chance to get out and play. I play V1x and before I got on the course, based on cover feel, I think these are the same. The ball flight is good, with excellent carry. On the greens, I get one hop then stops almost on a dime. Putting feel is nice and soft. Fantastic ball!
  9. Decided to play a "worst ball" match (with myself) using the test ball versus my usual proV1x (an unused ball), i.e. a two ball scramble for 18 holes where I played both balls on all shots until holing out. Approximately 60% of second, third, fourth shots turned out to start from the position of the ProV1x and not the test ball. So somewhat better shots resulted from the test ball overall. This very unscientific test seemed to confirm for me that the two balls were very similar in performance with a slight edge to the test ball. I also felt in using it a bunch on the practice green: pitching, chipping, putting, and sand shots, the ball felt great and equal to my ProV1x with only a small difference in the putting feel. The test ball seemed to jump off the putter with a slight bit more of a "pop" than the ProV1x but this was easy to get use to.

Received red titleist test sleeve recently had a chance to play today.Weather conditions were not ideal 60 degrees with sustained 18-20 mph wind.I was very impressed with the way the balls preformed under the conditions.Ball seemed to be unaffected hitting into wind,in fact lost one by clubbing down( ball carried over a par three into a pond).Down wind balls seemed to fly extremely well.Nice bite on greens. Overall I would definitely give 5 stars.

I received my test ball last week, got a chance today to play them. They had the black numbers, but to me the felt more like the PV1X. They felt a little harder off the driver then my normal PV1.
I had a little harder time stopping them on the green they would hit, and roll out more then my PV1.
Thanks for letting me being part of the testing Titleist.

I played the red number test balls that were sent to me recently. I live in western New York and played the balls for the first time today in 50 degree temperatures and wind. I felt that the test balls weren't giving me the distance (which may have something to do with the cold weather) that I was used to with the ProV-1x balls I typically use. I also felt that the test balls had a more consistent ball flight and and didn't stray off line when a shot was mis-hit whether the shot was a pull or a fade.
  13. I played with the test ProV1 on a cool day 54 degrees. I hit one drive with an older version of the Pro V1. It went 252 yards I was pleased. Then on the next par 5 I used the test Pro v1 258 yards I was jazzed. These are terrific balls. It felt smooth coming off the driver and even better with a 6 iron shot to a par 4. I like a ball that feels like I can make it compress and with my swing speed of 88 mph this test Pro V1 is a ball that gives me confidence. My chips have a slightly better spin to them and I use a putter with a metal face. This ball feels like butter at impact. No need for an insert in the putter face. I'm looking forward to the release of these new balls.

good performing ball, long off the tee, good spin from the fairway with approch shots. soft around the greens, one issue is durability ( the ball scuffed up more than I am used too with Pro-vs, otherwise its a great player's ball).

    Dear Titleist Team,

Thank you for the opportunity to test the new ProV1x!!

    Several observations:
    1. The ball is very solid with every club in the bag (woods, irons, and putter).
    2. The trajectory was excellent as it was windy today in MD.
    3. Distance seem very good as several times with my irons I chose less club and got the desired distance and control.
    4. Ball seems harder than the current model but in a very positive way.
    5. Distance off the driver (915 D3) was similar to my current golf ball.

As a result of this experience, I would completely change my current ball (TM Tour Preferred) to this new ProVIx.

    All the best,
    Craig Vollmer
  16. I received my box of Titleist "Test" balls this week! Thankfully the weather in Michigan was awesome today for late October and we were able to get a round of golf in. Test balls felt good off the tee and distance was comparable to my usual ProV1 distance, maybe a little bit longer. Unfortunately the greens were just aerated, so I didn't get a real feel for the spin on approach shots or the roll on the greens. For Michigan (and other northern, Midwest states) it would probably be better to get the prototypes in August, when we're still playing a lot of golf and the greens are truer. Anyway...I appreciate that you include women in your testing program, and always look forward to trying out new products. Thanks for the opportunity!
  17. Received my sleeve of pro v1x test balls this week and played one today for the first time. Great feel around greens and long off the tee. I didn't hit many good irons today so was hard to get a good read but I will continue to test, as long as mother nature holds off on the fluffy white stuff for few more weeks.

Just test drove the new Pro V1X today--a very windy day at my club. Unfortunately, I had a bad ball striking day & lost all 3 balls by the 14th hole. What I did find was the cover was softer, especially of the putter-it seemed to bore through the wind well with less spin & checked up very well on very firm greens. I would love to hit them again on a day when I have my A game. I would change to this ball without hesitation. Much improved in bad conditions. Thanks Titleist !!

The test ball was definitely longer overall but less spin and feel around the greens. Also Putting was slightly different... 15 foot and in not much of a difference but outside 25 feet test ball felt harder.
I was fortunate enough to be able to play the test ball on a windy day... that's when I noticed much more of a difference more penetrating ball flight.
  20. Very excited to be a part of the testing this year. Got them in the mail yesterday and was able to get 9 holes in with them today. I'm assuming with the color of the number that I received the Pro V1 prototype, but I'd love for someone to verify that for me.

The Chrome Soft was my gamer this year, and although I really like that ball, I kinda felt like I was losing something off the tee with it. That was verified today in my testing. Prototype was consistently 8-12 yards longer with less side spin. Definitely think I'm coming back to Titleist next year.
